Day 1: Bangalore - Chikmagalur (245 kilometers / 152 miles)

Motorcycle tour from Bangalore to Chikmagalur commences at 7:00 a.m. The ride will take four and a half hours. In the evening you will explore coffee plantations.

Day 2: Belur and Halebid Temples (80 kilometers / 50 miles)

You will ride to the ancient twin capitals of Hoysala Kingdom, Belur and Halebid, to appreciate the fantastic sculptures and temple architecture

Day 3: Agumbe Rainforest and Trasi (185 kilometers / 115 miles)

At 8:00 a.m., you will ride for two and a half hours to reach the rainforests of Agumbe, home to the King Cobra! Another two-hour ride will bring you to the coast at Trasi with its pristine beaches.

Day 4: Murudeshwar (55 kilometers / 34 miles)

After breakfast you leave Trasi and ride for just over an hour to reach the picturesque village of Murudeshwar, nestled between the western ghats and the Arabian Sea. You will visit the famous Shiva Temple surrounded by the sea on thre sides.

Day 5: Gokarna (80 kilometers / 50 miles)

You will ride for two hours and reach Gokarna, one of the best beaches in India. The day is dedicated to lazing on the tranquil OM beach.

Day 6 - 8: Goa (135 kilometers / 84 miles)

A three an d a half-hour ride will bring you to Goa. You will spend the next three days relaxing in the famous beaches of Goa, exploring Portuguese built churches, and enjoying the legendary Goan hospitality.

Day 9: Dandeli (125 kilometers / 78 miles)

Dandeli is a wildlife sanctuary and you will stay in a jungle lodge and indulge in a jeep safari as well as a coracle ride over the River Kali.

Day 10: Jog Falls (170 kilometers / 106 miles)

You will ride for three and a half hours to reach Jog Falls, one of the biggest plunge waterfalls in India. Stay is planned in a homestay in a village near the falls.

Day 11: River Tern (140 kilometers / 87 miles)

A three-hour ride will bring you to a lodge perched on a hill besides the Bhadra Reservoir and on the edge of a Tiger Reserve. You will do a jeep safari as well as a boat safari to explore the wildlife.

Day 12: Return to Bangalore (285 kilometers / 177 miles)

You will checkout from the jungle lodge at 11:00 a.m. and ride six hours to reach Bangalore. This is the end of the tour.

Important information

  • A valid motorcycle driving license is mandatory for the tour. So all riders needs to carry the license in original along with their passport or aadhar cards at all times during the tour.
  • Saddle bags are the best option as you will be riding on the motorcycle for most of the journey. If you do not have saddle bags, 5 Senses Tours can help buy them for you at the prevailing prices.

Included excursions

Belur and Halebid

You will go on a magical journey to the 12th century when Hoysala Architecture was at its zenith. Marvel at sculptures signed off by their creators at Chennakesava Temple in Belur which took a hundred years to build!

The patronage of Art and Architecture by the Hoysala Kings will be in full display at Hoysalesvara and Shantalesvara Temples at Halebid along with a giant statue of Nandi the bull which tool 86 years to craft

Jog Falls

Created on the Sharavathy River near Shimoga town, Jog Falls is at a height of 850 feet and is the second highest water fall in India. Located 420 kilometers West of Bangalore, Raja, Rani, Rover, and Rocket are the four streams which form the Jog Falls. Jog Falls is a lovely weekend getaway from Bangalore especially in the monsoons.

Agumbe Rainforest

Agumbe is a rainforest near Thirthahalli and is often called Cherrapunji of the south due to the incessant rainfall. It is home to several endemic species of flora and fauna. Many rare medicinal plants are found at Agumbe.

Agumbe is famous for its King Cobras. The Agumbe Rainforest Research Station commissioned the world’s first radio-telemetry project on the King Cobra. Founded by the famous herpetologist Romulus Whitaker, ARSS also conducts many educational and outreach programs with the local community and educational institutions.

Whitaker also helped set up India’s first automatic weather station in Agumbe to monitor changes in rain forests.

Wildlife safari in Dandeli

The Bison Reserve at Dandeli is the key attraction. Jungle lodges arranges for guided safari into the reserve. The entrance to the park is 12 kilometers from the town, at the Kluge Nature Camp. If you are lucky you can catch a glimpse of the black panther.

It’s far easier to spot giant iguana, malabar giant squirrel, sambar, and bison. Ornithologists throng here for a sighting of great Indian hornbill and the malabar pied hornbill.




The ride covers 1450 kilometers (901 miles) of wildlife sanctuaries, thunderous jog falls, rainforests of Agumbe, coffee plantations of Chikmagalur, and pristine beaches like Murudeswar, Gokarna and Goa.
