You will stay in various accommodations provided by ABS Travel and Trade. Your accommodation will be in a twin or double room with private bathroom.
Departing from Hue, you will ride along highway 1 to Quang Tri town, visiting Long Hung Church and Quang Tri Old Citadel which was a battlefield in 1972 between North and South Vietnam for 81 days and nights. You'll ride along the coast from Cua Viet Beach to Cua Tung Beach, a long stretch of beautiful and peaceful coastline. Next, you will visit the Vinh Moc tunnels and explore the Demilitarised Zone. Your hotel will be in Cua Tung Beach area and you will have free time at night.
After leaving the beach, you will ride to visit the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, arriving approximately at 12:00. In the afternoon, you will take a boat approximately 5 kilometers along the Son River to tour the Phong Nha Cave (river cave), followed by Tien Son Cave (dry cave). For the night, you will stay in Son Trach village near the entrance to Phong Nha.
In the morning, you will travel to Khe Sanh. You will have short stop at Truong Son cemetery to pay respects to the soldiers who fought and died on the trail during the American War, continuing west on highway 9, you will stop at Cam Lo for lunch, then you will climb into the Truong Son foothills, pass the Rock Pile and stop at some villages and swim at beautiful natural springs and waterfalls near the highway.
Approximately at 16:00, you will arrive in Khe Sanh which was established as a forward base by General Westmoreland near Laos to secure highway 9. Afterward, you will check into your hotel and have free time at night.
After breakfast at a local restaurant, you will visit Khe Sanh combat base and Ta Con Airbase. Then, you will head out across the famous Dakrong bridge on the Ho Chi Minh Trail near the town of Ta Rut. You will visit the Pa Co minority people and walk through their village.
Afterward, you will ride about 110 kilometers to Aluoi. During this time, you will cross one of the longest and most stunning passes in Vietnam while traveling on a new and quiet road through amazing scenery of primitive forests in the imposing Truong Son mountain range. You'll stop for lunch in Aluoi town. Then in the afternoon, you will travel on to Prao. For this 100 kilometers drive, you will be surprised with the jungle, mountains, waterfalls, the quietness, peace, and amazing views.
The morning after breakfast, you will continue 52 kilometers on the Ho Chi Minh Trail to the town of Thanh My. You'll cross the river by a local boat and drive on a village road to My Son, a world heritage site that is the Cham version of Angkor Wat. You'll stop at My Son to explore the ruins and take many photos. Afterward, you'll continue on to Hoi An where the tour ends.
