Program

Day 1: Sofia, Bulgaria

Welcome to Bulgaria, the country where people shake their heads to mean yes and nod for no. You will be collected from Sofia Airport and transferred to your hotel in the capital city. Accommodation and briefing.

Day 2: Sofia (BG) – Edirne (TR) - Tekirdag (455 km / 5 hours)

Start your motorbike adventure by riding to Edirne. Founded by the roman Emperor Hadrian, the place used to be called Adrianople back in the days. Spend the night in Tekirdag on Marmara Sea and enjoy strolling the streets of this beautiful city.

Day 3: Tekirdag, Turkey - Gallipoli - Anzac Cove - Canakkale (188 km / 4 hours and 30 minutes)

Ride along Dardanelle Strait, separating Asian Turkey from European Turkey. Your next destination is Anzac Cove - a small cove on the Gallipoli peninsula, the site of World War I landing of the ANZACs The beach became the main base for the Australian and NZ troops during the Gallipoli campaign. Cross Dardanelle by ferry and spend the night in Canakkale.

Day 4: Chanakale - Troy - Foca - Izmir (310 kilometres / 5 hours)

The wooden horse used in the movie Troy is on display in Canakkale, but you are off to visit the real archaeological site of Troy - UNESCO World Heritage. Troy, with its 4,000 years of history, is one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world. Continue your journey to western Anatolia. Spend the night close to Aegean Sea in the city of Izmir.

Day 5: Izmir - Selcuk (Ephesus) - Didim (196 km / 3 hours and 10 minutes)

Morning ride to the ancient city of Ephesus. Great monuments of the Roman Imperial period including Celsus Library and the Great Theatre can be found here. Remains of the famous Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the world attracts visitors all over the world. Evening in Didim.

Day 6: Didim - Fethiye (243 km / 4 hours)

Cross Sakar Pass on your way to Amyntas Rock Tombs in Fethiye on the Aegean Sea. The ancient kings rock tombs are carved in the mountain wall at ancient Telmessos, Lycia.

Day 7: Fethyie – Side (300 km / 4 hours and 30 minutes)

Ride the old roman road in the middle of an ancient city. Side is situated on a small charming peninsula. Visit the Greek Theatre and the famous Apollon Temple. Accommodation in Side.

Day 8: Side - Konya - Goreme, Cappadocia (458 km / 6 hours and 10 minutes)

The city of Konya is the city of the famous Whirling Dervishes. Visit Mevlana Museum and continue riding to Cappadocia. The region is characterized by fairy chimneys and a unique historical and cultural heritage. Accommodation in Goreme.

Day 9: Goreme, Cappadocia (rest day)

Enjoy a rest day in Cappadocia. Seeing the region from above during a hot air balloon ride will surely impress you. If you fear the heights, you can go underground - visit the troglodyte cave-cities. There are 36 underground cities in Cappadocia and the widest one is Kaymakli underground city. Spend the night in Goreme.

Day 10: Goreme - Ankara (291 kilometers / 3 hours and 30 minutes)

Ride to Ankara, Turkey's second largest city after Istanbul. Ankara became the new Turkish capital upon the establishment of the Republic on 1923. Anıtkabir, the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in Ankara, is visited by large crowds every year during national holidays. Accommodation in Ankara.

Day 11: Ankara – Inebolu – Doganyurt (370 km / 5 hours and 20 minutes)

From the Central Anatolia to the Black Sea. Ride the twists and turns of the black sea coast to the fishermen city of Doganyurt. The ride will reward you with incredible riding and fantastic views.

Day 12: Doganyurt – Amasra – Eregli (290 km / 5 hours and 36 minutes)

Continue the Dragon Road of the Black Sea Coast to Amasra.

Hundreds of road bends and tunnels will spice up the ride. Evening in Eregli.

Day 13: Eregli – Sile – Istanbul (317 km / 5 hours and 40 minutes)

The city of Sile is famous for its beautiful views over the Black Sea and its old lighthouse. The fish market next to the castle walls is a fabulous experience. Evening in Istanbul.

Day 14: Istanbul – Rest Day

Enjoy a rest day in one of the greatest cities in the World - Istanbul. You can visit Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sofia Mosque or enjoy a boat ride. A Bosphorus dinner cruise will show you Istanbul in a different light.

Day 15: Istanbul (TR) – Burgas (BG) (325 km / 5 hours and 10 minutes)

Continue your journey back to Bulgaria and the Black Sea Resort of Burgas. Second port city in the country, Burgas is a famous summer destination.

Day 16: Burgas - Sofia (382 km / 3 hours and 41 minutes)

Ride back to the city of Sofia. Arrival at 02:00 PM.

Transfer to the Airport for your flight back home.

Bike rental deposit

Adventure Motorcycle Tours and Rentals requires a bike rental deposit depending on the bike of your choice. The deposits are as follows:

BMW F800GS, BMW G650 GS, BMW F750GS, BMW F850 GS, BMW R 1200 GS: 1500 EUR
BMW R 1200 GS LC and BMW R1250GS: 2000 EUR

Requirements

You must have a valid motorcycle license to rent a motorcycle from Adventure Motorcycle Tours - Transylvania Live. The license from your country is sufficient - you don't have to get an international drivers license.

A reservation requires a deposit of 30% of the total price.
The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
