During this holiday, you will stay overnight at three or four-star hotels or traditional rented accommodations in Gytheio, Kalamata, Arcadia, Nafpaktos, Ioannina, Kastoria, Serres, Xanthi, Thessaloniki, and Volos on a bed and breakfast basis in a shared room, a twin room, or single occupancy.

Program

You will travel most of the Greek mainland, enjoy traditional lodging and dining, and relax in the best places that Greece has to offer. You will unwind in natural spas, swim in remote unspoiled beaches, and rejuvenate in some of the cleanest rivers in Europe. Tour guide reserves the right to alter the daily schedule should there is need or circumstances that might affect the safety of the tour or participants.

Day 1: Athens - Monemvasia - Gytheio (472 kilometers / 293 miles)

You will meet and greet early in the morning and after a briefing, you will ride south in the Peloponnese. You will visit Monemvasia and its pristine Castletown, Kastania cave, as well as the geological park of Santa Marina with its petrified palm forest. The evening will find you in the charming village of Gytheio.

Day 2: Gytheio - Vathia - Kalamata (198 kilometers / 123 miles)

This day, you will travel to the southernmost point of Greece and the impressive Cape Tainaron. You will see one of the mythological entrances to Hades where allegedly the 12th labor of Hercules materialized. You will also walk to the lighthouse and enjoy panoramic views across the Aegean. You will continue with a visit to Vathia and Diros Cave, a unique subterranean cave system accessible via small boats. The evening, you will rest in Kalamata, a modern city with lovely waterfront bars and cafes.

Day 3: Kalamata - Koroni - Methoni - Arcadia -Dimitsana (250 kilometers / 155 miles)

You will continue your Peloponnese exploration by visiting Koroni and Methoni with its medieval waterfront castle and then a small stop to enjoy one of the most famous beaches in Greece. Voidokilia is a gulf offering amazing views and a unique swimming experience. Then via picturesque villages, you will arrive in the county of Arcadia for the evening.

Day 4: Dimitsana - Arcadia - Stemnitsa - Dimitsana - Vitina - Kalavrita - Nafpaktos (195 kilometers / 121 miles)

Your last day in the Peloponnese peninsula will allow you to drive through Stemnitsa, Dimitsana, and Vitina. You will visit the open-air water power museum in Dimitsana and via a nice mountainous drive, you will arrive in Kalavrita. You will see Mega Spilaio and Agia Lavra, both monuments with great historical value as they played an important role during the war against Ottoman occupation in Greece. After that, you will cross the Rion - Antirion viaduct and rest in Nafpaktos (Lepanto) with its medieval port and the rich history.

Day 5: Nafpaktos - Parga - Sivota - Ioannina (375 kilometers / 233 miles)

Today, you will start ascending towards Epirus. You will visit the Acheron River, Parga, and Sivota. You will enjoy a refreshing swim in Acheron river, suck in the amazing atmosphere of Parga and relax in the famous Bella Vraka beach in Sivota. In the evening, you will arrive in Ioannina, the capital of Epirus. Ioannina is rich in history and it is well known for Lake Pamvotis and the myths of Ali Pasha. You will walk the town, see Its Cale, the castle, and the mosque before returning to your hotel for the evening.

Day 6: Ioannina - Zagorohoria - Kastoria (220 kilometers / 137 miles)

This day is dedicated to Zagorohoria. Little stone-built villages are scattered in the mountainous region of Epirus overlooking the Gorge of Vikos. You will see arched stone built bridges, natural swimming pools in the geopark of Mikro Papigo and have a breathtaking view of the gorge from the monastery of Agia Paraskevi. In the afternoon, you will continue to Kastoria, the city of fur making.

Day 7: Kastoria - Achilion Island - Psarades - Edessa - Serres (359 kilometers / 223 miles)

You will start early towards Prespes Lake. You will visit Achilion Island, connected with the mainland with a foot-bridge and relax in Psarades with a cup of coffee enjoying views of the lake. Then, your route will take you towards Edessa and its famous waterfalls. These are the biggest waterfalls in Grece with water falling from over 70 meters high. Then via the county of Kilkis, you will arrive in Serres and Lake Kerkini for the evening.

Day 8: Serres - Fort Roupel - Alistrati - Xanthi (195 kilometers / 121 miles)

Kerkini Lake is extremely important to the ecosystem as there are hundreds of bird species that find refuge in its waters. You will take a boat trip and see live all this beauty. Birdwatchers, arm your cameras! You will then continue towards Roupel underground barracks, a historical monument of great significance.

You will be guided in the underground tunnels wherein the first and second world war the Greek forces defended viciously against the invading armies. Then you will continue towards the Alistrati cave complex, a site famous for its extraordinary stalactites and stalagmites before arriving in Xanthi for the evening.

Day 9: Xanthi (18 kilometers / 11 miles)

Today, there is no motorcycling. You have the option for canoeing in Nestos River or to simply have a relaxing day in the beautiful city of Xanthi. Xanthi is a lovely town and it sold quarters are truly spectacular. You are free to roam in its little alleys, enjoy traditional products, and fill your day by simply suck in the lovely atmosphere. If you wish though to canoe in Nestos waters, the option is open. It is a fantastic experience, the route is truly unique and the experience will be surely one to remember.

Day 10: Xanthi - Thessaloniki (218 kilometers / 136 miles)

You will depart from Xanthi towards Thessaloniki. The city of Thessaloniki offers plenty to the visitor. You will be guided in the city, see the White Tower, enjoy lovely walks, and taste its exquisite cuisine.

Day 11: Thessaloniki - Kalabaka - Volos (372 kilometers / 231 miles)

You will continue southbound and arrive in one of the most important and most recognizable sights of Greece, the Meteora Rocks. Monasteries are built on cliffs offering spectacular views of the valley below. You will have the chance to visit the monasteries and be informed of their significance throughout time. Afterwards, you will continue your ride and arrive in the capital of magnesia, Volos. You will visit the village of Makrinitsa and enjoy amazing views of the Gulf and harbor of Volos.

Day 12: Volos - Glifa - Euboea - Athens (285 kilometers / 177 miles)

This is the final day and your route takes you to the Glyfa harbor. You will take the ferry to cross to the island of Euboea. You will see the Drymonas waterfalls and then continue your route in Chalkida. You will cross the bridge and within a few hours, you will reach Andeli Mototouring in Athens.
