During this motorbike tour, you will be accommodated at middle-class hotels, a houseboat, a tent camp, and guesthouses.

Day 1

This will be your arrival in Delhi and you will be picked up by Asia Bike Tours and transferred to a hotel.

Day 2

Early morning, you will take the Shatabdi express train to Kalka and by bus to Nalagarh Fort. After a briefing on bikes and traffic as well as a few circuits around the parking lot, you will ride a few kilometers before heading back for dinner.

Day 3

You will have a ride up to Shimla, the former summer residence of the British Raj, at an altitude of 2,200 meters / 7,217 feet.

Day 4

Today will be an endless up and down as well as round and round, Jalori La pass, 3,125 meters, and some memorable scenery on the road to Gushaini. If you prefer, you can have fresh fish out of the river next to Raju's Lodge.

Day 5

Today, you will have a relaxing ride along the Beas River that will get you to India's honeymoon capital, Manali.

Day 6

Today, you will have an awesome ride up the 3,890 meters / 12,760 feet to Rohtang Pass on route to Keylong.

Day 7

Enjoy the scenery that will make you feel as if you're on the moon. You will stay in a great camp at Sarchu that has Swiss tents with beds inside.

Day 8

On this day, you will see a landscape out of this world. This day will be another remarkable day through 2 passes above 5,000 meters / 16,400 feet. You will stay next to Tso Kar at Eco Lodge.

Day 9

You will enjoy another memorable ride to the most beautiful lake in the Himalayas, Tso Moriri, surrounded by snow-covered mountains. You will stay at a new hotel overlooking the lake.

Day 10

On the way to Leh, the capital of Ladakh, you will visit the monasteries of Hemis and Tikse.

Day 11

On this day, you will explore Leh and its vicinity with Stok Palace and Matho Monastery.

Day 12

Today will be another highlight of the tour. You will cross Kardung La, at 5,603 meters / 18,380 feet, the world's highest motorable road.

Day 13

You'll explore the sand dunes and ride your motorcycle across Kardung La and along the Indus valley to Alchi.

Day 14

You'll leave Alchi in the morning for Kargil. On the way, you'll visit Lamayuru Monastery in the "Moon Valley”. After a lunch snack at the foot of the monastery, you'll head back to Leh.

Day 15

Early morning, you will have a flight to Delhi. After that, you can have a time for some shopping or just relax at your hotel. Afterward, you will have a night flight back home.

Notes

  • The group size minimum is 4 riders and the maximum is 10 riders.
  • There is a space for pillion riders in the follow-up car.

This retreat will be a mountain retreat of Mughals and Buddhist lamas, the alps of India, a valley of paradise. These are terms used to describe Kashmir, one of India's wildest destinations. Kashmir boasts some of the highest and most rugged landscapes on earth in mountainous Ladakh and one of the most sublime in serene Dal Lake. These rugged Buddhist regions, reachable via the world's highest mountain passes, are a little slice of Tibet transplanted to India, wedged in by roaring rivers and snow-capped mountains.

Throughout this tour, you will be served all meals and all non-alcoholic beverages.

On the last day of this tour, you can do some shopping or just relax at the hotel.
