Asia by Moto Cambodia Motorbike Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Saigon to Nam Cat Tien National Park (150 kilometers / 94 miles)

  • Riding along Tri An lake through the natural reserve
  • Hiking and exploring the natural reserve at Crocodiles lake, located in the core area of Nam Cat Tien National Park
  • Quiet overnight stay in the forest rangers checkpoint hut in the middle of the park

Day 2: Nam Cat Tien National Park to Ta Dung Lake (130 kilometers / 81 miles)

Today is another highlight day of the South Vietnam motorbike tour with many photos stops on the way to take in the amazing scenery of the Highlands. You will ride through many tea and coffee plantations.

Day 3: Quang Khe to Da Lat (170 kilometers / 106 miles)

You start the day by enjoyable motorcycle tour to the other side of Ta Dung Lake. The jade-colored lake consists of many islets and is framed by bamboos and thick jungle. You also have a chance to ride the motorbike across hills passing through some ethnic minority villages to Lam Ha then on to Da Lat Elephant Waterfall. After the waterfall, you continue south Vietnam motorbike tour through the center of the flower farms area, mainly roses, hydrangeas, and strawflowers, before checking into your hotel in Da Lat.

Day 4: Downhill to Nha Trang (140 kilometers / 87 miles)

After breakfast, you take a stunning 140-kilometer winding ride downhill from mountain to the coast to the oceanfront town of Nha Trang. Today is the highlight of central Vietnam motorbike tour as during the ride, you can stop at vegetable and flower farms, hill tribe villages, and coffee plantations. Besides winding by forested mountains for much of the way, the road hits 1,500 meters as you traverse the pass and take in some spectacular views down to the coast. Dinner is not included.

Day 5: Relax in Nha Trang beach

To take some steam out of all the riding you’ve done, Asia by Moto prefers an easy day with open options for you. You can decide your own relaxing time here and the costs for your activities are not included for this day. Asia by Moto can certainly help with pointing out the key things of interest or help you to book a boat tour to some islands for swimming and snorkeling.

In the late afternoon, you can ride to a newly constructed mud-bathing center with good facilities, to set your mind free! Seafood dinner in a local restaurant is a must.

Day 6: Nha Trang to Phan Rang-Thap Cham (130 kilometers / 81 miles)

Short motorbike ride around Cam Ranh Bay is probably something common for travelers to Nha Trang but instead, you’ll be riding around Nui Chua National Park, a unique dry ecosystem, along with the amazing coastal road. It is absolutely beyond what you can imagine and elements making your bike ride today so special including rocky mountain, wild beach, narrow bays full of local fishing boats, and locals farming crops like a purple onion. In the late afternoon, you’ll arrive at Phan Rang - Thap Cham, the seat of Cham culture.

Day 7: Phan Rang-Thap Cham to Ke Ga (180 kilometers / 112 miles)

After breakfast, visit the Po Klong Garai, a Cham temple tower located in the medieval Cham principality of Panduranga. It was built in honor to the legendary King Po Klaung Garai by the historic King Jaya Simhavarman III, who ruled Champa in the central part of Vietnam from 1285 to 1307.

Then, you hit the road again. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Ca Na beach. The terrain of the coastline here is flat and sometimes the beach is just 20 meters from the road. You will also stop at the top attraction of Mui Ne, the White Sand Dunes. Often compared to those of the Sahara, these are massive and range in tone from gold to pure white. The lakes surrounding the dunes are thick with lotus blooms and provide a perfect place for a stroll.

In the afternoon, you arrive for check in at the hotel in Ke Ga. You will be near a quiet fishing village and a grand lighthouse built in 1897, the oldest in Vietnam. Ke Ga has splendid beaches, but unlike nearby Mui Ne or Phan Thiet, Ke Ga is not too famous to have some quiet moments and contact with locals.

Day 8: Ke Ga to Vung Tau to Saigon (120 kilometers / 75 miles)

Arrive at Saigon and have an international transfer to Phnom Penh. This flight is included in the tour, the visa is excluded. Asia By Moto is not responsible for any personal or legal issue with migration authorities.

Day 9: Phnom Penh to Kompong Cham to Snuol

Leaving Phom Penh by the motorway and heading east following the Mekong passing through Kampong Cham and its province there, you will take a break to eat. Then, you will head to Snuol following highway number 7 where you will stop for the night. This day will give you a chance to know the bike you are riding with and to enjoy Cambodia’s countryside.

Day 10: Snuol to Sen Monorom

Take an early breakfast and en route for the first real off-road. After 20 kilometers, you will take the King's trail. It will be 100 kilometers of red dust, mud, rock, bamboo forest, and sand. You will pass through small isolated village and wonderful hill point view. You will then arrive at Sen Monorom where you will take a long deserved night.

Day 11: Sen Monorom to Banlung (via Bou Sra Waterfall)

After an early breakfast, you will ride down the amazing Bou Sra Waterfall. After that beautiful waterfall, you will be ready for a hard day riding, visiting hill tribes along the way.

Day 12: Banlung - Rest day

Welcome to central Ratanakiri biggest town, Banlung, home to the spectacular Yeak Laom Volcanic Lake, surrounded by tropical forest, the clear water will be a refreshing break. You will also visit some great waterfalls, on 30-feet high where riders will be able to take a leap into the water below.

Day 13: Banlung to Stung Treng

Riding on some of the best trails crossing multiple rivers, you will head north to the Laos border, then you will follow the mighty Mekong to the riverside town of Stung Treng. There, you will enjoy some cold beverage, watching the sun set over the river.

Day 14: Stung Treng to Siem Reap (326 kilometers / 203 miles)

Start the day by crossing the Mekong on the ferry then start a long ride on a wide red dusty (or muddy in rainy season). This is the stronger riding day, starting very early in the morning, you will divide this day into the sections of 163 kilometers approximately. The intention is to arrive at Siem Reap before night and enjoy the complimentary massage which Asia By Moto will offer to you. This day will be divided into two times with a big break.
