If you ever dream about magnificent mountain riding on the finest roads in the world, awesome scenery, unique shopping opportunities, and enough cultural overload to last a lifetime, this motorcycle tour has it all! On this tour, you will take an adventure on the European Alps, and this surely will be the most magical place in the world to ride a motorcycle. So, what are you waiting for? Book now and enjoy the magical European Alps has to offer!
During this motorcycle tour, you will be accommodated in a twin or double room at several 3 to 5-star hotels provided by Beach’s Motorcycle Adventures.
Your arrival in Europe is planned to let you catch up with the time lost and be introduced to a new environment. You will find pleasant, relaxing rides through the Bavarian countryside. The scenery takes an exciting turn as the Alps come into view, dominating the horizon. The twisty roads in the foothills of the Alps only hint at the adventure to come.
The real introduction to mountain riding comes on the ride to Imst, Austria. You can choose from the relatively wide, easy Fernpass or the narrow, wild Hahntenjoch. These high mountain roads that climb up and over the peaks offer unparalleled views and challenges to the rider. Indeed, only the second day of the tour and in every direction, there are mountains.
During the next few days, as you explore Switzerland, you may want to ride the Klausen, Pragel, Brunig, St Gotthard, Lukmanier, Oberalp, Neufenen, Furka, Grmisel, or Susten passes. The villages on the pass roads depend on agriculture, and local farms blend into the landscape perfectly.
From Interlaken, it is but a short hop to Andermatt, the next overnight. What isn’t traveled in horizontal distance is made up of vertical distance, as the only way into the Andermatt Valley is over a pass, or 4. Photo stops and picnic possibilities abound.
Furthermore, Swiss-German culture gives way to Swiss-Romanish upon entering the Engiadina valley, where enthusiastic pass riders may conquer the Flüela, Ofen, Splugen, San Bernardino, Bernina, Abula, Maloja, or Julier passes.
Then comes the beauty of Italy, where striking scenery and exciting riding compete for attention. The Dolomites are simply massive and the pass roads allow up close access to them.
In summary, there will be mountains, glaciers, gorges, vineyards, waterfalls, hiking trails, picnic spots, gentle curves, switchbacks, tunnels and bridges, fortresses, castles, palaces, lakes, mountain streams, and both breathtaking and restful vistas. You can enjoy listening to the sounds of cowbells in mountain pastures, drinking in the landscape of wild flowers and the snow capped mountains, smelling fresh mown hay, and tasting mountain-grown vegetables.
Note: The program includes the choice of a BMW C650GT, F700GS, F800R, F800GS, F800GT, R1200R, or R1200GS motorcycle with unlimited mileage for riders.
Besides riding, you will also enjoy a guided walking tour of Salzburg.
This tour will start and end in Munich, Germany. Along the way, you will have a journey to Austria, Switzerland, and Italy. The tour will cover several beautiful destinations in Austria including Imst, Rankweil, Heiligenblut, and Salzburg. Meanwhile, In Swtizerland, you will ride through Interlaken, Disentis, and Zuoz. Terlago and Arabba in Italy will be also included into your motorcycle tour.
Widely regarded as being among the most attractive mountain landscapes in the world, the intrinsic beauty of the Dolomites derives from a variety of spectacular vertical forms with contrasting horizontal surfaces rising abruptly above more gentle foothills. A great diversity of color is provided by the contrasts between the bare pale-colored rock surfaces and the forests as well as meadows below. Some of the rock cliffs here rise more than 1,500 meters and are among the highest limestone walls found anywhere in the world.
The Dolomites give way to Slovenia’s Julian Alps, which form the southern backdrop to Villach. Austrian culture comes alive here, and it seems that, of all Austrians, the people of Villach are the quickest to throw a public party. Festivals, music, art, motorcycles, or beer seem to be ongoing all summer.
You will be served all breakfasts and 12 dinners, including a variety of a la carte, choice menu, fixed menu, and buffet style dinners. You can have lunch anywhere on the road at an outdoor cafe and enjoy the weather and the views. Beach’s Motorcycle Adventures will suggest you a restaurant on the route you are taking for the day. Restaurants are open from about noon to 2:30 p.m and generally, you can't go wrong in choosing local dishes.
