You will stay in a twin-sharing room during this motorcycle tour. The accommodation will be a hotel or a hostel depending on the places.
You will be picked up from the airport and settled into your hotel before your celebration dinner at one of the city’s best steakhouses.
You will set out directly from the hotel and head up a fantastic, winding paved road to your lunch stop and refuel at 4000 meters above sea level. Then, heading toward Quime, where you will climb to just under 4700 meters before descending through a spectacular glacial valley to 3000 meters for your overnight stop at a delightfully rustic hostel perched on the edge of the Amazon rainforest.
You will continue your descent, now on 100% dirt roads, into the Amazon. Then, overnight stay at 1600 meters above sea level in a nice hotel with a lovely big pool, hot showers, and cold beer!
You will see a completely different side of Bolivia today. You will be riding through villages that grow the famous coca leaf, key ingredient in cocaine. The people are different, the homes are different, everything changes. You will soon arrive in the town of Coroico for a late lunch and for those keen a chance to ride one of the world’s longest and highest zip line, right over Death Road!
Are you sure you are ready for the world's most dangerous road? Also known as Death Road, it climbs from 1600 meters to 3500 meters above sea level in just over 30 kilometers. It is a tight, windy and very narrow dirt road, often awash in running water and overhanging waterfalls. It is two way but really only one lane wide.
You will love it! The scenery is spectacular, the riding experience is intense and the fun factor is off the charts. After experiencing Death Road, you will skirt around the upper edge of La Paz before joining Bolivia’s main highway for a 4-hour run along the high plains to the city of Oruro.
A bit of highway to start the day as you skirt Lake Poopo. You will visit an impressive meteorite crater and shortly after join a dirt road that takes you through quinua field around the base of Tunupa volcano and to the very edge of the Salar de Uyuni salt plains. You will be staying in a salt hotel tonight, it is a unique experience.
On this day, you will have an amazing experience by heading out onto the world renowned Salar de Uyuni. It is a 10,000 square kilometers expanse of salt. There are lots of fun things to do from taking crazy photos and video, riding with your eyes closed, speed testing your bike, etc. You will love it and it is an absolute highlight.
It is still situated at high altitude but Potosi has some great stuff to see and do. Take a tour into the depths of hell, also known as the tin mines, play with dynamite, and visit the silver minting museum.
This day is a nice short ride for you, a late start will allow you to see more of Potosi in the morning and enjoy “The White City” of Sucre in the afternoon. It is a world heritage site as well.
An easy final day with a spectacular and remote dirt road to enjoy. A couple of river crossings for a little spice before you re-enter Cochabamba for a farewell dinner at the best steakhouse in town.
