Enter the Boyer YL Ranch and experience all the joys of ranch life and outdoor adventure such as motorcycling or cycling (road, mountain, and gravel), playing tennis, swimming, and have gourmet (sometimes fireside) meals. During your stay, you are guaranteed a cozy, rustic, and clean place to lay your head. The Boyer YL Ranch wants you to have the experience to tell your friends about. It won’t be the “normal” but it will be the “special”. The Boyer YL Ranch will be open year-round and can accommodate up to 25 guests in summer, and 20 in winter.
The Boyer YL Ranch has been in the Boyer Family since 1905. For the past 20 years, various family members only used the ranch for a few weeks each summer. Jock Boyer and his wife, Kimberly Coats, purchased the ranch from the Boyer siblings upon returning from a decade in Rwanda running the national cycling team. The ranch is their labor of love to share its beauty and peace with others. It is currently undergoing many renovations and you may see areas that look like they need a little love. Rest assured, love (and money) are being poured into every project on the property.
It is a cozy stand-alone studio cabin with two single beds, a fully equipped kitchen, shower, and bathroom. The Cowgirl Cabin sits just 50 feet from Savery Creek!

In 2017, Jonathan “Jock” Boyer and his wife, Kimberly Coats, returned to Wyoming, and Jock’s childhood home, after spending a decade in Rwanda running the Rwandan National Cycling Team. Jock’s boyhood dream has always been to return to the ranch and share it’s special gifts with friends and guests from around the world. The Boyer YL Ranch has been in the Boyer family since 1905.
In 2018, Jock and Kimberly will open the ranch gate to guests, reunions, retreats, camps, and other special events. Jock and Kimberly look forward to welcoming you with their own unique style of warm Wyoming hospitality.
Jock and Kimberly have received solace and were rejuvenated with every visit to the ranch while they were living in Rwanda. When they left Africa, they wanted to make this a place for all people to experience what they experienced on the short breaks back to the USA, specifically here. Consider this your home when you’re here. Explore, hike, bike, relax, picnic, and play tennis, whatever makes you happy. That atmosphere is what the Boyer YL Ranch strives to foster. If you want to hang out and learn more about the ranch, Jock and Kimberly will give you a tour of the main house. If you want to know about cycling in Africa, Jock and Kimberly are happy to share their stories.
Jock and Kimberly are here to make sure you have a great time. The family ranch is over 100 years old and some of the buildings are as well so things break, it happens, but Jock and Kimberly are here to take care of any problems that may arise. Jock and Kimberly may be reached in the cabin labeled (Boyer YL Office) to the left of the Main House.
If you are staying in one of the self-contained cabins, you must bring your own food. There are basic cooking items such as oil, salt and pepper, coffee, and dry creamer, but the nearest grocery store is in Baggs, Wyoming, which is 20 miles from the ranch, and hours are limited.
