Program

Day 1: Arrival in Delhi

Meet and greet by Brahmand Tour's representative at Delhi airport followed by transfer to your hotel.

Day 2: Delhi - Chandigarh (by train) - Manali by surface (approximately a 295-kilometer or 8-hour journey)

The morning train takes you to Chandigarh, from where you will travel in private coach towards the famous hill station Manali (the gateway of high mountains), approximately an eight-hour travel to Manali via numerous lush green mountains which would give you a spectacular view of Himalayas. In the evening, you will arrive at Manali hotel where your accompanying support cruise welcoming you in local traditional style.

Day 3: Get familiar with machine - The Royal Enfield

Today morning, there will be a brief introduction about the upcoming epic adventurous journey. It is now time to get familiarized with your machine (The Royal Enfield) as well as with Indian traffic. You will head to Kullu Valley (known as the land of god) to visit wooden castle followed by lunch at historical castle.

In the afternoon, ride back to Manali town where you can do last minute shopping before entering the unoccupied land.

Day 4: Manali - Jispa (approximately 129 kilometers / 82 miles / 5 hours' ride)

Post breakfast epic adventurous journey begin on The Royal Enfield to Jispa climbing over Rohtang Pass (3,978 meters). This would really turn out to be a challenge as the road you will ride through are really adventurous and the weather conditions are also uncertain.

Further pass through the Lahaul Valley where all the mountains capped with snow all around. Enjoy mountain dinner of steamed momos and thukpa. Thukpa is a very famous traditional Himalayan soup which is made by mixing meat and vegetables.

Day 5: Jispa - Tsokar (approximately 230 kilometers / 143 miles / 6 - 7 hours' ride)

Today, you will be leaving for the next destination, Tsokar. When you leave from Jispa, you will enter the Greater Himalayan landscape. While you are on this route, you will see the bigger mountains on this part of the highway. Enjoy the view and later cross the Baralacha Pass (4,850 meters). From there, head towards Sarchu which forms the border line between Jammu-and-Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.

You will climb over another two high mountain passes Naki La (4,877 meters) and Lachalung, the first giant above 5,000 meters (5,065 meters). Lunch at Pang.

After lunch, continue ride to Tsokar. En route, you will ride through flatlands and get into the mountain-range-horizon. Tsokar is a place where you will witness a mix of different natural formations which are seen through the roads and sand.

Day 6: Tsokar - Leh (approximately 150 kilometers / 94 miles / 4 - 5 hours' ride)

The fifth day comes with a lot of challenges with more plain and get into the mountain-range-horizon. Cross the Tanglang-La Pass which is the third highest motorable mountain pass in the world at the height of 5,328 meters. After crossing this pass, you will have to bike through well-maintained roads all the way to Leh.

En-route, you will get to see the monasteries of Thiksey and Shey which are set on the top of a hill. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Evening is free to explore the market of Leh.

Day 7: Leh - Nimmoo - Alchi (approximately 70 kilometers / 44 miles / 2 - 3 hours' ride)

Today, you ride to explore some very unique landscapes of Himalayan region. It is a scenic ride through some fine red rocky faces to visit Alchi. En-route, visit Nimmoo. There, you will witness the confluence of the green Indus River and the brown Zanskar River.

Afterwards, ride towards Alchi, to visit Alchi Gompa on the banks of the Indus. The monastery has lots of small Buddha statue in different form but the main attraction is the 1000-year-old wall paintings, a UNESCO heritage. In the evening, there will be free time to walk around the village.

Day 8: Alchi - Khardung La - Nubra Valley (approximately 190 kilometers / 119 miles / 7 - 8 hours' ride)

The dream comes true as today you will ride to Khardung La (5,602 meters), which is the highest motorable pass in the world and has been recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records. After clicking the photo, descend to Khardong village where you will stop for lunch at local ladakhi restaurant.

Post lunch, continue your ride to Nubra, in the early evening, reach your campsite. After refreshment, proceed to Sand Dunes which lies between Deskit and Hundur village.

Day 9: Nubra - Pangong Tso (approximately 170 kilometers / 106 miles / 5 - 6 hours' ride)

Post breakfast, ride to Pangong Tso via Shyok, this route normally is used by the Indian army to commute the international border line. En route, stop at Deskit Monastery (the biggest statue of Buddha in Ladakh), where you will witness a magnificent view of Nubra Valley.

Continue riding to Pangong Tso which is the largest brackish water lake in Asia. This lake is situated at the Chinese-Indian border (at the height of 4,360 meters from sea level). In the afternoon, reach your Pangong campsite. After refreshment, witness the unforgettable sunset view at Pangong Lake.

Day 10: Pangong Tso - Leh (approximately 154 kilometers / 96 miles / 4 - 5 hours' ride)

Post breakfast, ride to Leh. En route, cross over world's second highest motorable pass (Changla Pass, 17,688 feet or 5,360 meters). In the afternoon, reach your Leh hotel.

Day 11: Leh - Sarchu (approximately 258 kilometers / 161 miles / 8 - 9 hours' ride)

Today, you will have a long day to ride from Leh to Sarchu crossing over various high mountain passes and villages. En route, you will have 45 kilometers' straight ride through the breathtaking valley of Zanskar. Lunch will be en route on the midway. In the end of the day, you will reach Sarchu.

Day 12: Sarchu - Manali (approximately 228 kilometers / 142 miles / 8 - 9 hours' ride)

In the early morning, you will your ride towards Manali crossing over Baralacha Pass which is an entry gate of Lahaul Valley. Continue your descend crossing Zingzingbar, Darcha, Jispa, and riding across various of villages to Khoksar where after a much-needed tea break, you will start another ascend of your last challenge, The Rohtang Pass.

You will cross the pass to enter the lush green Kullu Valley ending your motorcycle safari in Manali. You will bid your farewell to your companion, The Royal Enfield, carrying fond memories and promise to meet again.

Day 13: Manali - Chandigarh - Delhi (by train)

In the morning, proceed to Chandigarh Railway station to catch the Shatabdi express train to Delhi. On your arrival at Delhi railway station, a representative will meet and take you to the hotel.

Day 14: Drop at Delhi International airport

In the morning, after breakfast, depart for your transfer to airport to catch the flight to your onwards destination. The trip concludes here.

Ladakh

The region of Ladakh, whose capital is Leh, is enclosed between the mountain ranges of the Karakorum and the Himalayas, and its population, equal to 232.864 inhabitants is divided into Tibetan school Buddhists, who reach just over half, and Shiite branch Muslims, with a small minority of Hindus.

Leh has about ten thousand inhabitants and is famous for the Royal Palace, similar to a miniature version of the Potala of Lhasa, as well as for the splendid wooden mosque and frequent visits of the XIV Dalai Lama. Other interesting places are the Buddhist villages of Lamayuru, Atitse, Bagso, Hemis, famous for the imposing monastery of the same name, Alchi, famous for the local monastery hosting wonderful wall paintings, and Likir.

You will be served three daily meals from Manali to Manali, while during your Delhi stay, only breakfast will be included.
