The base of the excursion is Hotel Perticari, a three-star hotel in Pesaro. The rooms are shared and private rooms are available for an additional cost. Kindly note that Perticari Hotel is an example of accommodation that Break in Italy uses in Pesaro. However, the availability might change depending on the season. Should there be no availability in Perticari Hotel, you will be accommodated in a similar hotel.
Arrive at Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport (BLQ) and have a short transfer to the rental station. Get your motorbike and ride till Pesaro for your accommodation. Dinner and overnight are at the hotel.
On this day, you will ride throughout the ancient villages of Foglia and Metauro Fano and enjoy the Moretta drink. Take your breakfast at the hotel. Visit the town in the morning which is historically bound to the world of motors, the Museum Benelli with over 150 old motorbikes displayed, and recall the history of the famous “house of the rampant lion.”
You will have an afternoon tour of the hinterland, Candelara, Novilara, Ginestreto, and Mombaroccio. Don’t miss a stop in Cartoceto for the free tasting of olive oil, cold cuts, and cheese. Then, head to the old roman Flaminia-street to Fano and taste the traditional fishers’ drink, the Moretta. Dinner and overnight are at the hotel.
On this day, you will ride between Marche and Umbria to enjoy the beautiful passes Bocca Trabaria and Bocca Serriola. You will have an excursion to Urbino riding along the nice Foglia-valley road. Arrive in Urbino and visit the famous old historical town of the Renaissance. Don’t miss tasting “crescia" and "casciotta” (flat bread and cheese) and ride the saddle to Urbania along the panoramic “Strada del Duca.”
Once there, the tour continues to Piobbico, Apecchio, and Bocca Trabaria, an amazing pass through the Apennine. Arrive in Umbria and visit the town of San Giustino and its Bufalini Castle with a garden and a labyrinth.
Continue riding to Città di Castello and Bocca Serriola which is another pass crossing the Apennine back to Marche region. You will ride back to Pesaro. Dinner is at the favorite inn of the local bikers, representing a meeting point, where the chopper theme plays an important role. You will be back to the hotel for overnight.
On this day, you will visit Morbidelli Museum, the birthplaces of Valentino Rossi and Simoncelli, Mount San Bartolo, and the old castles overlooking the sea. Take your breakfast at the hotel. Visit Morbidelli Museum, the product of the passion of Giancarlo Morbidelli, which hosts more than 350 historical motorbikes. This is a great opportunity to learn about the history of motorcycling.
Ride along panoramic roads leading to Fiorenzuola di Focara, Casteldimezzo, and Gradara, an exciting route from the land to the sea with curves rises and descends. Proceed to Coriano, the birthplace of Simoncelli and visit the museum dedicated to his life. After that, continue through hills and valley, Morciano di Romagna, and Saludecio. Arrive in Tavullia, the birthplace of Valentino Rossi and visit the official fans club, a place for aficionados where the bikers have their dinner at a local restaurant belonging to Valentino. You will be back to the hotel your overnight stay.
