During this tour, you will be staying at various accommodations across Myanmar in a mixture of two and three-star hotels plus a night in a local monastery based on single or twin shared rooms.

Night one will be spent in a hotel in Pakokku.

Get some rest in a hotel in Mindat on night two.

Make Kanpetlet your home on night three.

Relax in your Bagan hotel accommodations on night four.

Have a well-earned rest in Popa Mountain Resort on night five.

Get some good sleep in a hotel in Kalaw on night six.

Accommodations will be arranged in Nyaungshwe for nights seven and eight.

Settle in at a village monastery in Ya Sa Kyi village on night nine.




It should be your arrival day to Mandalay.

The tour will start in the morning at 08:00 a.m. with a pick up from your hotel in Mandalay. Upon your request, Burma Motorbike Tours will be pleased to arrange your ground transport or accommodation in Mandalay.

It is to be noted that you are informed to meet up with your ground operation team in Mandalay on that day to do the technical inspection to the motorbike and other necessary gears and equipment arranged for your trip in Myanmar. In addition to that, the agreement of taking and using the motorbike of Burma Motorbike Tours shall be made on that day.

Day 1: Mandalay - Myinmu - Pakokku (200 kilometers / 124 miles)

It is the day that you have all been waiting for to begin, a journey like no other. You will discover the truly incredible beauty of Myanmar. You will start riding to Myinmu, just 73 kilometers away from Mandalay. Myinmu is a river town in the southeast of the Sagaing Division in Burma. The town has a rich history linked to World War II during the Burma Campaign against the Japanese in 1944.

You will take a short break in Myinmu before you start off driving to Pakokku, passing through a local village. On the way, you can stop by some villages where you will see the people making incense sticks, bamboo-made items, and the village of weaving factory. Upon arrival in Pakokku, you will check-in the hotel and stay overnight. Lunch and dinner will be provided.

Day 2: Pakokku - Pauk - Mindat and sightseeing (160 kilometers / 99 miles)

Enjoy a big breakfast at the hotel, you will need it! You have got a full day of outstanding riding ahead of you today! Expect a good mix of road or gravel and single trails as you ride some excellent terrain. It is a journey to the vanishing face of Burma, Mindat. Located in the western part of Myanmar, Mindat is accessible by road from Bagan, one of the most famous ecotourism sites in Myanmar.

A visit to the Chin region is an opportunity to observe strange traditional customs and see the Chin women with tattoos on their faces. Hunting is still in practice and one can see various head bones of animals proudly hanged at walls of local houses. Their primitive weapons are the bow and arrow.

So get ready to enjoy the incredible local jungle trails featuring an abundance of lush greenery, varied terrain, rickety wooden bridges, and remote villages with a nice blend of single track thrown into the mix. You will be greeted with the cooler weather as you get to Mindat, located at 1,481 meters or 4,860 feet above sea level.

Upon arrival in Mindat, enjoy lunch and you will continue sightseeing to the remote village of tattooed women with different designs on their faces. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided.

Day 3: Mindat - Kyar Htoe - Aye Camp - Kanpetlet (100 kilometers / 62 miles)

On day three, you have got mixed terrain with a great range of jungle trails and winding road sections edging through some outstanding jungle-covered mountains and wild rivers on the way to Kanpetlet. You will pass through Kyar Htoe Village to see a primitive tribe of tattooed women living in their traditional houses.

You will also drop by Aye Camp where you will enjoy the picnic lunch before you head off to Kanpetlet which is a small town with a population of a few thousand and is situated about 1,370 meters above sea level. Upon your arrival in Kanpetlet, you can stay free and easy for the rest of the day. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided.

Day 4: Kanpetlet - Seik Phyu - Chauk - Bagan (180 kilometers / 112 miles)

It will be another awesome full day of riding, one of the best days on the calendar! You will be heading to Bagan, the visual wonder of the world alongside with Angkor in Cambodia and Borobudur in Indonesia. Bagan is simply vast, nearly 70 square kilometers in extent. You will be passing a number of small remote villages.

You will be doing some serious kilometers on day four as you tackle some bumpy trails and gravel roads. You shall be arriving in the late afternoon into the unique and ancient city of Myanmar known as Bagan. Upon arrival in Bagan, check-in the hotel and enjoy the sunset cruise on the Ayeyarwaddy River. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided.

Day 5: Bagan sightseeing by car - Popa by motorbike (60 kilometers / 37 miles)

In the morning, you are going to explore the highlight of Bagan by car. After breakfast at the hotel, you will be devoted to discovering Bagan, the mystic and extraordinary archaeological site with its 3,000 temples.

You will start a sightseeing tour with a visit to Nyaung Oo colorful market and a diverse selection of the most important pagodas and temples such as the Shwezigon Pagoda, a prototype of the later Myanmar stupas which was built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th Century.

You will also visit Wetkyi Inn Gubyaukgyi with its fine mural paintings of Jataka scenes, Htilominlo Pagoda, noted for its plaster curving, and Ananda Temple, with the best-preserved masterpieces of Mon architecture and the Tharaba gate.

You will then visit a lacquerware workshop before you take a lunch break at a good local restaurant. In the afternoon, you will drive to the enchanting Mount Popa which is a great extinct volcano standing out as a green-clad landmark in the Dry Zone. You will enjoy the scenic view of its surrounding from Popa Mountain Resort during the sunset. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided.

Day 6: Popa - Meiktila - Thazi - Yim Mar Bin - Kalaw (230 kilometers / 143 miles)

Time to climb on the bikes for another day of incredible adventure riding as you make your way up the twisty road of Shan Mountain Range trails to visit Kalaw which was an old hill station with a laid-back atmosphere, refreshing climate, and scenic views. Many of Kalaw’s original colonial era buildings remain and it is also known as Myanmar’s trekking mecca. Upon arrival in Kalaw, you will check-in the hotel. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided.

Day 7: Kalaw - Pyin Oo Lwin - Nan Thale Thee - Kyauk Su - Inle (135 kilometers / 84 miles)

Another fantastic day lays ahead with Shan Hills trails as you experience incredible scenery, friendly locals, and many waving children always excited to see new faces. You will pass through some small villages less visited by foreigners and make a stop for you to spend your time interacting with the local people and having a great time.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch at the village on the way to Inle Lake. Upon your arrival in Nyaungshwe, you will check-in the hotel then you will be free to discover the town on your own. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided.

Day 8: Inle sightseeing by boat

After breakfast, you will transfer to jetty and take a boat ride for a full day sightseeing in Inle Lake. You can start your lake exploration to one of the local five-day markets, if market day is coincided with your stay in Inle Lake. The highlights include Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda which enshrines the famous five Buddha statues totally covered in gold, the unique leg rowers and floating gardens, and the silk weaving village of Inpaw Khone.

You will have a lunch break at a good local restaurant at Inle Lake. After lunch, you will continue your excursion to a hand-rolled cigar making factory, a blacksmith factory, and Nga Phae Chaung monastery, well-known for its ancient Buddha images made of teak, bamboo, and lacquer. Its nickname is “Jumping Cats Monastery” for the cats trained by monks to jump into hoops.

You will also visit the stilt houses to observe the lifestyle of the water dwellers and the floating gardens corner of Inle Lake. Then, you will return to your hotel. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided.

Day 9: Inle - Pindaya - Ya Sa Kyi Village (82 kilometers / 51 miles)

On day nine, you will get an awesome half-day of trail riding so get ready to enjoy the incredible scenery and colorful plantation on the way to Pindaya. You will stop at Pindaya to enjoy the lunch before driving up to Ya Sa Kyi Village, the village of the Pa Laung Tribe. You will be free to hang around the village and interact with the local people. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided.

Day 10: Ya Sa Kyi - Ywan Ngan - Kyaukse - Mandalay (185 kilometers / 115 miles)

After breakfast at a village monastery, it is time to say goodbye to the local people with a big smile and you will then start to drive down to Mandalay, passing through lots of villages and endless surrounding plantations that are still often plowed using water buffaloes.

You will stop at the viewpoints and nice places where you can relax and record the intact nature of Myanmar through your heart and camera. You will enjoy lunch at local restaurant on the way and upon arrival in Mandalay, you will be transferred to the hotel of your own arrangements.

The tour will end around 04:00 p.m. or 05:00 p.m. back in Mandalay, so it is also possible for you to catch a departure flight on the same day or take a connecting flight to extend your beach holiday in Ngapali. Ngapali Beach is not recommended between May to the end of August due to the rainy season. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
