The roads around Mora D’Ebre are superb, generally quiet, and very well maintained. There’s a perfect blend of mountain curves and long straights to free your biking spirit. During this tour, experience bespoke guided trail and road tours in the beautiful Catalan mountains.
Your accommodation for this tour is a beautiful three-bedroom, self-contained Finca in a private setting, close to Catalan Adventure's own property. The Finca sleeps up to six people. No mixed groups.
At 10 a.m., you will start right after a leisurely breakfast. Ride up past Mount Picossa and the Ermita de St. Jeroni. From here you will drop down towards Mora D’Ebre and the River Ebro before crossing and heading towards Tortosa.
You will leave the road at Ginestar and head for the mountains above Tivissa. You will then drop down to the pretty village for some lunch. After a break, head back up to the mountains and descend via wooded tracks to El Perello. After a stop for refreshments, head back to the overnight accommodation at Mora D’Ebre.
Another leisurely start and you will leave at 10 a.m. Head out on the trails to the Circuit Mora D’Ebre, often there is some supermoto action going on here. You will then ride to the Memorial de los Campesinos and the trenches of La Fatarellla.
After that, ride the epic mountain tracks passed the bombed-out village of Corbera D’Ebre towards Gandesa. In the Serra de Cavalls, you can check out the Peace Monument with its International Brigade connections before riding down some interesting tracks to Fontcalda.
A lovely bit of twisty road riding takes you to Prat de Comte where you will stop for a light lunch. From here, head into the Els Port Natural Park where you will ascend the mighty Teix D’Engrillo with stunning views towards Tortosa and the Med on one side and across the plains of Aragon on the other.
Often you will be so close to soaring eagles you can almost touch them. Taking a different route back down the mountain, head to the beautiful village of Miravet where you will sit at a cafe by the River Ebro with a beer and reflect on your adventures.
The CRFs are perfect for exploring both on and off-road. They are equipped with heavy-duty motocross inner tubes. The bikes have Spanish third-party road insurance covering anyone with the appropriate (A2/A) license. Please note that it is compulsory in Spain to carry any relevant documents and licenses.
Catalan Adventure requires a bike rental deposit amounting to 10% of the total cost of the bike rental.

Nich has been riding motorbikes for more than 40 years. In the UK, he was an IAM member, a CBT instructor and completed courses such as BikeSafe and ERS. A few years ago, Nick joined the TRF to try some green laning and was hooked. Since moving to Catalonia in 2017, Nick has been exploring and mapping the local trails to provide a good range of varied routes.
No meals are included in your package, however, you will have tea, coffee, and water supplied on your arrival. You will also receive a welcome pack with bread, beer, and basics. It is self-catering in the casita and there's a good selection of local restaurants is available in town.
