This tour covers some amazing waterfalls, historical sceneries of the Dutch era, and you will also experience the cold climate in the misty mountains. You will be fascinated by the natural attractions that Sri Lanka has to offer. This may be your chance for a guided motorcycle tour in Sri Lanka.
During this tour, you will be accommodated in some A-grade guest houses in Sri Lanka, appointed and arranged by Club Sha Lanka.
Arriving at Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB), you will be transferred to the hotel where you can enjoy the interesting coastal town of Negombo. As the first exercise, you will visit the fishing village and return to rest. Overnight stay in Negombo.
In the morning, you will ride to “Bopath Ella”, a waterfall which has the shape of the bo tree leaf. Along the journey, you will pass rubber, coconut, and tea estates while exploring the lives of remote Sri Lankan areas. You will also have the opportunity to visit a traditional gem mines in Kuruwita. Overnight stay in adjacent hotel near Bopath Falls.
After breakfast, you will saddle up and set off on the back roads for the long ride up to Lipton’s Seat tea trail in Haputale. There, you will have a bird’s eye view of five provinces of Sri Lanka. The ride up to Lipton’s Seat will be an adventurous one with a breathtaking view of the highlands of Sri Lanka. Overnight stay in Haputale.
Leaving Haputale, you will head to Horton Plains National Park, an UNESCO world heritage site which consists of ecosystems such as Montane evergreen forests, grasslands, marshy lands and aquatic ecosystem and also an endemic flora and fauna. You will hike in Horton Plains to visit the World’s End where the plateau comes to a sudden end, a stunning escarpment that plunges 880 meters.
Next, you will travel via hairpin roads to Nuwara Eliya city, known as Little England by British Colonials where they used to stay here to escape from the scorching heat of the lowlands. In Nuwara Eliya, you will get the chance to see several buildings with colonial era architectural style. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.
In the morning, you will visit a tea factory and Ramboda Falls en route to Kandy. In Kandy, you will visit first “Arthur’s seat” where you can perceive the territory beneath in the bird’s eye view including the Temple of Tooth. Most tourists prefer enjoying lunch or sip a beer nearby restaurant. Next, the tour will lead you to the Tooth Relic Temple which is supposed to be the most precious place of Buddhist people. Then, you will have the opportunity to enjoy shopping in Kandy city and to walk around the Kandy lake in the evening. Overnight stay in Kandy.
Continuing the adventure, you will arrive at Sri Lanka’s most famous landmark, Sigiriya Rock, rising 370 meters above the jungle is an ancient fortress surrounded by extensive gardens. Sigiriya is world-famous for its frescoes, mirror wall, and lion’s paw. You will ride around the Sigiriya Rock and the nearby Sigiriya village. As an optional activity, you can enjoy the jeep safari in Kaudulla or Minneriya National Parks. As the next activity, you will visit Dambulla Cave Temple which has fascinating series of caves filled with beautiful Buddhist statues and paintings. Overnight stay at hotel in Sigiriya.
You will ride to Kalpitiya Peninsula to have the beach next to you for the rest of your trip. Activities are planned to maximize opportunities within a brief period diverting into an undiscovered and unspoiled Kalpitiya Peninsula. You will be having a rest in an eco-friendly cabana with refreshments. In Kalpitiya, there are seasonal optional activities such as windsurfing, kitesurfing, snorkeling, diving, fun fishing, and sea bathing. Rest at Kalpitiya overnight.
On the last day, you will be guided back to Negombo or Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB), it will be your choice.
