During the tour, you will be staying for two nights at Studio Hotel, one night at Casa Turire Hotel, one night at Arenal Manoa Hotel, one night at Nammbu Hotel, one night at El Parador Hotel, and one night at Esquinas Rainforest Lodge.

Program

Day 1: Arrival in San Jose, Costa Rica

Meet at Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) and private A/C transfer to your hotel in San Jose. Overnight at Studio Hotel, Standard Room (breakfast).

Day 2: San Jose - Irazu Volcano - Turrialba Valley, 87 kilometers / 54 miles

Breakfast at the hotel. Private transfer to the office to pick up your motorcycle. Then, you are off to explore Costa Rica. The first stop will be at the active Irazu Volcano National Park. The winding road to the volcano travels through fertile lands and will take you to an altitude of 3432 meters (11260 feet) over the sea level.

Following this visit, you can tour around the Orosi Valley, where creation overflows in unparallel beauty. You will be able to visit one of the few remaining colonial churches and can stop for lunch in one of the local restaurants. Continue east to Turrialba, a valley dotted with coffee, banana, and sugar cane plantations. Overnight at the elegant Casa Turire Hotel, Standard Room (breakfast).

Day 3: Turrialba Valley - Arenal Volcano, 229 kilometers / 142 miles

Today’s journey will take you through the Caribbean lowlands until you reach the Arenal Volcano area. On the way, you will pass through Sarapiqui, situated on the banks of the Puerto Viejo River and next to the Braulio Carrillo National Park, this place combines different types of tropical rainforests. Once in the Arenal Volcano area, you can visit the natural and relaxing hot springs and enjoy the beautiful landscape! Overnight at Arenal Manoa Hotel, Junior Suite (breakfast).

Day 4: Arenal Volcano - Carillo Beach, 193 kilometers / 120 miles

After breakfast at the hotel, you will ride to the North Pacific Coast, where Carillo Beach is located. Nosara region, which includes Playa Ostional, San Juanillo, Playa Pelada, and Playa Carrillo, is one of the most pristine beach spots of Costa Rica. Playa Carillo is lined with palm trees and chalk-colored sand. The shore is typically not very crowded, making it the perfect place to relax and escape from stressful days at work. While relaxing, take in some amazing views of the lush mountain ranges in the distance, which provide a unique backdrop for visitors to the beach. Overnight at Nammbu Hotel, Standard Room (breakfast).

Day 5: Nosara Beach - Manuel Antonio, 280 kilometers / 174 miles

This morning, you will ride south to Manuel Antonio. You will pass the beach towns of Puntarenas and Jaco, before getting to the port town of Quepos. Considered to be Costa Rica’s most beautiful park, with enchanting white-sand beaches ideal for swimming and tropical rainforest alive with wildlife. Watch for the monkeys and iguanas who share the park with you. Overnight at El Parador Hotel, Garden Plus Room (breakfast).

Day 6: Manuel Antonio - Golfito, 160 kilometers / 99 miles

Today you will take the coastal road south to the Piedras Blancas National Park area (Golfito). During this ride will have some great views of the coastline and surrounding forests. This area has become the perfect jungle retreat for visitors seeking adventure off the beaten track. In Costa Rica's remote southern zone, you can enjoy activities such as hiking, birdwatching, horseback riding as well as boat and kayak trips in nearby Golfo Dulce. Overnight at Esquinas Rainforest Lodge, Standard Room (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).

Day 7: Golfito - San Jose, 292 kilometers / 181 miles

Ride north the Pan-American Highway crossing the “hill of death” back to San Jose. This afternoon you will return the bike to Costa Rica BMW Tours' office. Overnight at Studio Hotel, Standard Room (breakfast).

Day 8: Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO)

Private transfer to Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) to take flight home (breakfast).

On your departure date, Costa Rica BMW Tours will pick you up at your hotel three hours before your scheduled departure time and will provide a transfer to the airport.
