We arrived in Cusco around the Christmas holidays and had one day to fill. On Christmas Eve, we were able to set up a tour for the very next day. The tour included an hour van ride into Sacred Valley and 4 hours of ATV time at a very competitive price. If you want to see certain ruins, it may help to have the tourist pass beforehand, but we chose not to enter any of the Inca sites and just rode around farmland, with amazing lake and mountain views. Our guide was excellent and the owner was very nice as well.
If you really want something special of the beaten track, go for a quad bike ride through the Sacred Valley. During 3 hours of riding, you will get an extensive guided tour through the landscape, along with villages, church, and some Inca sites. Pictures are taken from you while riding and at all locations. The guide is a local Cusqueon who can tell you everything. It is safe as you will get instructions how to ride and practice before the tour starts. By the way, it will be a bit dusty. This tour operator also offers a quad bike to go through the South Valley.
It was an excellent place to rent a motorcycle and go on a tour. People in this place are very helpful, you won't have problems to pick up a motorcycle and find the best tour that fits you. They have plenty types of motorcycles, all of them in pretty good conditions that will guarantee maximum experience in Cusco roads. I strongly suggest doing business with Cusco Moto Tour Peru.
