Day 1: Kathmandu (arrival)

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, a friendly representative will be waiting for you at the airport with a sign displaying your name. He will then drive you to your hotel. At the hotel, you will receive a short pre-departure briefing. Depending on your time of arrival, you are free to relax or explore the city.

Day 2: Kathmandu (rest day)

In the morning, you will receive a detailed pre-departure briefing. Free time in the afternoon: experience the mystical Kathmandu on foot or rest before the big adventure ahead.

Day 3: Kathmandu - Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve (348 kilometers / 216 miles)

After a safety briefing, you will collect your Royal Enfield motorcycles and hit the road for your first ride to the Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve, home to the endangered wild water buffalo and a bird watching paradise.

Day 4: Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve

Early in the morning, you will go on a full-day birdwatching tour with an experienced bird guide inside the Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve. Enjoy a boat excursion and be on the lookout for the Ganges River dolphins.

Day 5: Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve - Barbote, Ilam (200 kilometers / 124 miles)

After breakfast, you will ride to Ilam. The hills of Ilam are draped with lush green tea gardens. Ilam, land of tea, is also home to the endangered red panda and a birdwatching paradise.

Day 6: Barbote, Ilam and Mai Pokhari (30 kilometers / 19 miles)

Today, you will visit Ilam and Mai Pokhari. Discover the beautiful tea gardens of Ilam and explore the wetlands of Mai Pokhari.

Day 7: Ilam - Dharan (178 kilometers / 111 miles)

Today, you will ride to Dharan, a beautiful town surrounded by hills and famous for its khukuri knives.

Day 8: Dharan - Janakpur (204 kilometers / 127 miles)

You will ride to Janakpur, an important pilgrimage site for Hindus.

Day 9: Janakpur (sightseeing tour) (20 kilometers / 12 miles)

After breakfast, you will visit Janakpur. Among other places, you will visit Janaki Mandir and Ram Sita Bibaha Mandir. You will also visit Kuwa, a traditional Maithili village.

Day 10: Janakpur - Chitwan National Park (235 kilometers / 146 miles)

Early in the morning, you will head to Chitwan. The jungle of Chitwan National Park is home to the Royal Bengal tigers, one-horned rhinoceros, Asian elephants, sloth bears, and many majestic birds. In Chitwan, you will get a welcome drink at the resort. You will have time to rest and enjoy the natural scenery. In the evening, you will be taken to the nearby Tharu Culture Center, where you will watch the native Tharu culture dance show.

Day 11: Chitwan National Park

After a filling breakfast, you will go on a river safari. During the river safari, you will see a lot of crocodiles and different species of birds. Don't forget to bring your binoculars! After lunch, you will go on a jeep safari inside the national park.

Day 12: Chitwan National Park - Lumbini (156 kilometers / 97 miles)

Early in the morning, you will ride to Lumbini, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Check in to the hotel. Relax and soak up the peaceful atmosphere in Lumbini.

Day 13: Lumbini (sightseeing tour) (15 kilometers / 9 miles)

Today, you will visit the Maya Devi Temple, where Lord Buddha was born, and the World Peace Pagoda. You will also visit many beautiful Buddhist temples and monasteries built by various countries around the world (Thailand, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Myanmar, China, and India to name but a few). You will explore the wetlands and encounter the gorgeous Sarus cranes.

Day 14: Lumbini - Bardia National Park (342 kilometers / 212 miles)

In the morning, you will ride to Bardia National Park, the "real" jungle of Nepal. The jungle of Bardia is one of the most undisturbed protected areas in the Terai region and offers a greater chance of seeing wild jungle animals. Venture into the unspoiled wilderness and be ready for a very real jungle experience!

Day 15: Bardia National Park (jeep safari)

Early in the morning, you will go on a full-day jeep safari inside the silent jungle. The expert naturalist will teach you how to effectively track wildlife.

Day 16: Bardia National Park (walking jungle safari)

After breakfast, you will go on a full-day jungle hike inside the national park. You will track tigers, elephants, and rhinos on foot with an experienced wildlife guide. Be prepared for a real blood-pumping adventure!

Day 17: Bardia National Park - Butwal (304 kilometers / 189 miles)

Today, you will ride to Butwal, a town located in the Terai between Bardia and Chitwan. You will spend the night in Butwal before heading north to Tansen.

Day 18: Butwal - Tansen (48 kilometers / 30 miles)

Today, you will ride to Tansen, an unspoiled gem in the Palpa District. The authentic town with its narrow streets is one of the most charming places in Nepal. In the evening, you will hike up to the view tower on the Shreenagar Hill to enjoy the sunset view over the Himalayas. You will spend the night at a local family's home.

Day 19: Tansen and Rani Mahal (38 kilometers / 24 miles)

In the morning, you will ride to Rani Mahal (Ranighat Palace), also known as the Taj Mahal of Nepal due to its history. Then, you will spend the afternoon exploring the beautiful town. You will also go for some shopping, for those who want to take a taste of Nepal home with them. Tansen is famous for its Dhaka (a unique Nepali handwoven fabric) and Karuwa (a traditional ritual water vessel).

Day 20: Tansen - Pokhara (130 kilometers / 81 miles)

After breakfast, you will head to Pokhara, one of the most beautiful cities in Nepal. You will check in to your hotel, where you will spend some time refreshing yourselves. You will visit Tal Barahi Temple, a Hindu temple located on a small island in the middle of Phewa Lake.

Day 21: Pokhara (rest day)

In the morning, you will visit the beautiful World Peace Pagoda (Shanti Stupa). Free time in the afternoon.

Day 22: Pokhara - Kalopani (2530 meters) (124 kilometers / 77 miles)

Today, you will ride to Beni. From there, you will start your off-road trip and ride up to Kalopani. Kalopani is well-known for its wonderful views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna I.

Day 23: Kalopani - Kagbeni (2804 meters) via Muktinath (3710 meters) (67 kilometers / 42 miles)

Today, you will ride to Muktinath. Temples and religious shrines are the major attractions of this holy place. Muktinath is an important pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists. In Muktinath, if you have the courage to do so, you can follow Hindu devotees and take a holy bath under the 108 chilled fountains (Muktidhara). Then, you will ride to Kagbeni, the main gate to the Last Forbidden Kingdom. In Kagbeni, you will witness the great views of Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri, and Tukuche peaks; and the Kali Gandaki (the deepest canyon in the world).

Day 24: Kagbeni - Tatopani (1190 meters) (66 kilometers / 41 miles)

You will leave the beautiful Kagbeni and ride to Tatopani. In the afternoon, you will enjoy Tatopani's natural hot springs. Don't forget to bring your swimsuit!

Day 25: Tatopani - Pokhara (100 kilometers / 62 miles)

After breakfast, you will ride back to Pokhara. Free time in the afternoon.

Day 26: Pokhara - Gorkha via Bandipur (139 kilometers / 86 miles)

After breakfast, you will ride to the picturesque Bandipur, a hilltop town located in the Tanahun district. Then, you will continue your trip to Gorkha, a very important historic place in Nepal. Gorkha is the birthplace of the King Prithvi Narayan Shah, who established the unification of Nepal's kingdoms. The curvy roads towards Gorkha pass through many small villages and ancient towns where you will stop by for enjoying the views.

Day 27: Gorkha - Kathmandu (150 kilometers / 93 miles)

After breakfast, you will ride back to Kathmandu. Free time in the afternoon. In the evening in Kathmandu, you will have your farewell dinner at a local restaurant, where you will also enjoy a Nepali cultural dance show.

Day 28: Kathmandu (departure)

After a fun-filled trip, your journey ends. Dus Travel Nepal hopes that you thoroughly enjoyed your trip. They will take you to the Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM).
