The accommodation for the duration of this tour will be in Enfield Classic Moto Tours' hostel in Salobreña. The hostel is laid out on two levels, with a roof terrace and has excellent views of the Sierra Nevada and its surrounding mountains.

Each room has its own private bathroom and a communal sitting/dining area. There is also a patio on the ground floor and a roof terrace. There are shops and supermarkets in the village, along with tapas bars and restaurants. Breakfast is provided every morning.

Sometimes, Enfield Classic Moto Tours may need to arrange alternative accommodation due to unforeseen circumstances. If this situation arises, the accommodation offered will be equal to or higher than the accommodation initially offered.


Day 1: Arrival and airport transfer

Arrive at Malaga Airport (AGP) where you will be met by one of the staff and transported to the hostel in Salobreña. After filling out the required paperwork, you will be given a short safety briefing and introduced to your Royal Enfield. Following this, you have the remainder of the day to do as you please. There is a good choice of restaurants and tapas bars in the village, some offering their menus in English. Feel free to wander through the narrow winding streets in the old Arabic Quarter of the village taking in the stunning views of the Sierra Nevada and surrounding countryside from the 15th century Arab Castle.

Day 2: El Camino De Cabera

After having breakfast, your classic local tour begins. Heading south-east, through Guadalfeo Gorge and the small mountain village of Otivar, you arrive in El Parque Natural Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama. Riding along El Camino De Cabera, you start heading east to El Lago Azul and Alahama De Granada where you shall stop to have lunch. You will then head off around the north side of El Lago Azul and start to make your way back towards Las Sierras De Albuñuelas and Pinos de Valle finally arriving back at your HQ around 17:30.

Day 3: La Contraviesa

Following breakfast, today will see you travel east through Torviscon and "La Sierra De Contraviesa." Turning south from Ugijar, you head for Murtas where you shall be visiting a bodega and stopping for lunch. On your return journey, you continue south through La Sierra De Alheyon and Los Gualchos, then heading west along the coast road towards Almuñecar and your final leg of the journey back to base.

Day 4: La Costa Tropical or Rest day

A fabulous day on the road is promised with stunning views out over the sea as you journey south to Salobreña, then west along the coast towards La Herradura. Turning inland you start your ascent to La Sierra De Almijara, hopefully, if the conditions are right, you will enjoy excellent views of Morocco on the other side of the Mediterranean. Winding your way through the picturesque villages you arrive at Canillas De Albaida where you shall stop for lunch. Starting your descent heading south, you pass through Sayalonga then Algarobo before turning east and following the coast again back to your base.

Day 5: La Sierra Nevada

Today will see you head west to Sierra Los Guajares then north towards Granada before entering "La Parque Natural De La Sierra Nevada" where you will stop to have lunch. Heading off again you make your way to Guejar-Sierra before making your final descent through Suspiro Del Moro and Acebuches to your HQ, arriving back around 17:30.

Day 6: Las Alpujarras

This morning, you'll set off in the direction of Granada before heading east through Lanjaron and into "Las Alpujarras." Today's tour passes through Spain's highest mountain villages, Pampaneira, Capileira, Bubion and Trevelez (the highest village in Spain) where you will be stopping for an authentic “Alpujarreño” lunch. Heading off again, you pass through Valor before turning southwest through Cadiar for your return journey to your base.

Day 7: Departure - airport transfer

You are leaving today, so you will be transported to the airport for the flight home, hopefully, you will have had an unforgettable experience with Enfield Classic Moto Tours. Goodbye for now and thank you for touring with Enfield Classic Moto Tours!

  • The above itinerary is for guidelines only and can change for various reasons, i.e. seasonal conditions, road works, riding ability, etc.
  • While out on a tour, there will be a few stops during the day for refreshments e.g. tea, coffee or non-alcoholic cold beverages. Please respect the drink driving laws here in Spain while out on a tour and limit your intake of alcohol (for obvious reasons) to a glass of beer or wine with your lunch. After your tour for the day is over, your evenings are free to do as you like.
  • All rentals include third party liability insurance. For insurance purposes, all riders must be over 25 years of age and be in possession of a valid motorcycle license for at least two years.
  • As motorcycle touring is considered an adventure sport, you are advised before arrival in Spain, to arrange travel/personal accident insurance that covers adventure sports. This must include medical cover and repatriation in your home country.

As some of the routes are quite challenging, Enfield Classic Moto Tours also require all riders to have had some experience riding on twisty mountain roads.

On the first day, you will have the chance to go to the restaurants and tapas bars in Salobreña. You can also wander through the narrow winding streets in the old Arabic Quarter of the village taking in the stunning views of the Sierra Nevada and surrounding countryside from the 15th century Arab Castle.

If you decide to opt for a rest day, there is plenty to do in and around Velez and Granada. Options include visiting the "Alhambra Palace UNESCO World Heritage site', walking tours of Granada City (guided and self-guided), exploring Nerja Caves, along with great diving and snorkeling (conditions permitting). There are also thousands of kilometers of mountain, river and coastal walks (both guided and self-guided). Maybe you would just like to hang out in the numerous bars and restaurants or chill-out on one of the many beaches instead.

All of the above are within 1 hour / 75 kilometers from the tour base. If you would like to participate in any of these activities, it can be arranged for you.
