On arrival at the guesthouse you are required to pay an accidental damage deposit of 300 EUR to cover damages to any of the motorcycles. This will be returned in full at the end of your tour, provided no damage has been caused.
Most of you must have dropped your bikes at some stage of your riding career and minor damage can sometimes be fixed easily in-house, but sometimes it cannot.
If any of the motorcycles are dropped or crashed causing damage that cannot be repaired in this manner, you are liable for the cost of the repair which will be deducted from your accidental damage deposit. Thankfully this is a rarity.
The quality of Spanish roads is amongst the best in Europe. Spain's elevation is 650-meter above sea level which is second only to Switzerland, in Europe. Andalucia and the surrounding areas are a relatively untapped and undiscovered area as far as motorcycling goes.
That said, Spain has the largest number of motorcycles in Europe. This has helped make the roads extremely motorcycle friendly, with generally well-designed curves and asphalt that typically is maintained in excellent condition so none of the potholes you are so used to in the UK.
All riders must be in possession of a valid (category A) motorcycle license for at least two years and be over 25 years of age. You are also advised to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP). Please check if your passport is valid for the duration of your holiday. GS Motorcycle Tours do not accept responsibility if you cannot travel because you have not complied with any passport requirements.
Having over 40 years of motorcycling experience all over the UK and Europe, Graham always dreamed of being able to share his passion and experiences for motorcycling with other like-minded people. So once he discovered Andalucia a number of years ago, Graham realized that this region of Spain offers the best motorcycle riding experience anywhere in Europe and with this in mind, his wife and he left the UK and founded GS Motorcycle Tours to show people that Andalucia truly is a motorcycle paradise, and to offer an unforgettable motorcycling holiday with lifelong memories guaranteed.
This motorcycle tour starts and ends in Velez de Benaudalla, Spain.
Andalucia is a superb motorcycle country, even in high summer, the temperature is ideal in the mountains, and the Mediterranean Sea or Atlantic Ocean is close by. The Sierra Nevada and Alpujarras, the mountains around Ronda, and the mountains above Sevilla offer wonderful mountain roads.
You could go to the MotoGP circuit of Jerez, see the cliffs of Ronda, or wander through the desert of Cabo de Gata. You could spend weeks, months, years on a motorcycle, and never be bored.
Andalucia has a varied terrain, with its marshes and valleys, passing through meadows, rolling hills, forests and mountains, deserts and craggy peaks. It is all accessible from your motorcycle and paints an unrivalled, incredible scene.
As you wind through the surprising landscapes, secondary roads lead you from village to village, from region to region, introducing you to the most authentic aspects of the land, its customs, its culture and its people.
With mild temperatures most of the year, there is nothing like being seduced by a good route, and of course, a good stop where you can enjoy the culinary delicacies of Andalucia on a terrace, enjoying the light, sun, and charm of the region.
Andalucia is a motorcycle rider's heaven and a relatively untapped and undiscovered area as far as motorcycling goes and the quality of Spanish roads is amongst the best in Europe.
