Hanoi Easy Rider invites you to join this 21 days of guided motorcycle tour from Hanoi to Mekong Delta. Throughout this 3,042-kilometer long tour, you can discover the differences in culture and life between the North, Center, and South of Vietnam. You will learn more about the culture of ethnic minority and relax on several Vietnam's beaches. Just in 21 days, you will experience the real Vietnam.
During this tour, you will be staying at various accommodations chosen by Hanoi Easy Rider including homestays, resorts, and hotels. The accommodations will be in twin shared rooms.
Upon arrival, you will stay at La Suite Hotel in Hanoi.
Pick up at the hotel at 08:30, you will ride towards National Road No. 6 to Hoa Binh City for lunch and visit Muong Ethnic Museum (90 kilometers from Hanoi). Then, you will across 55 kilometers (34 miles) sloping and winding mountain road get to Mai Chau. There, you can enjoy the local food, homestay with White Thai tribe, have some wine with a tube, and enjoy some dancing with local people too.
Leaving Mai Chau, you will start to discover the legendary Ho Chi Minh trail towards the south. The route is very beautiful with imposing passes, zigzag road, and romantic springs. A night at Lien Thanh Town will bring you a strange feeling of the historical land and friendly people.
Along the road from Thanh Hoa to Nghệ An, there are many hill tribe villages that can savor your eyes and senses with their unique and strange culture as well as lifestyle. Hanh Lam forest farm is a historical relic raised from the feudal period to the wars against French colonist and American imperialist. You will enjoy a peaceful night in the midst of a wild and tranquil forest area.
Quang Binh is a province with strong historical associations and the homeland of General Vo Nguyen Giap. The smooth road will bring you relax and leisure time on the wheels. Besides being famous for historical relics, the province is well-known for one big obvious attraction which is Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng National Park, home to the incredible and bewitching Thien Duong Cave. There are also stunning beaches, the perfect complement to a day of exploring caves.
After a good sleep at night, you can start your boat journey to discover Tien Son Cave with stunning stalagmites and stalactites and you can go to the ground river, all hundreds of millions of year in the making. Then, you can explore Thien Duong Cave which has 31,4 kilometers in length and home to some amazing stalagmites and stalactites. You can walk along the wooden bridge and examine the white crystal stalactites.
From Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng National Park to Hue, you can enjoy a vast number of war relics along the Demilitarized Zone, the demarcation line between North and South Vietnam during the Vietnam - American War. You can visit Bến Hải River, Hien Luong Bridge, Cua Tung Beach, Vinh Moc tunnels, The Rockpile, and Khe Sanh Combat Base, and many more in Quảng Trị before getting to Hue in the late afternoon.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will ride to Da Nang via Hải Vân Pass. Arrive in Da Nang and visit ancient Cham Pa Sculpture Museum which is known as the last ancient Cham Pa sculpture collection in the world and Non Nuoc Stone Carving Village. You will have lunch at a local place. You will arrive in Hoi An in the afternoon and check in at a hotel and spend the night in Hoi An.
Hoi An Ancient Town, the highlight of any tour to Vietnam that no Vietnam tour makers would skip, is an example of a Southeast Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. You will have all day to go through rice paddies in the countryside of Hoi An Ancient Town, shop for souvenirs among the antique shops and art galleries, or just sit at a sidewalk cafe and soak up the atmosphere of this quaint town.
After breakfast, you will ride back up to the mountains, rejoining the trail at Phuoc Son which is also known as Kham Duc. From there, you will head up the towering Lo Son Pass, passing through remote areas thinly populated by people of the Ba Na ethnic. Edging close to the border with Laos, where a number of trail arteries crossed over in Laos, you will continue to Kon Tum. You will have lunch on the way and stay overnight in Kon Tum.
After breakfast, you will head south through the Central Highlands and pass Pleiku and the La Drang Valley battlefield before continuing to Buon Ma Thuot, the city where northern forces launched their final assault on the Saigon. Buon Ma Thuot produces most and best coffee products in Vietnam. You will have lunch on the way and stay overnight in Buon Ma Thuot.
After breakfast, you will ride to Nha Trang Beach, back down off the Tan Son highlands towards the coast, and arrive at Highway 1, some 30 kilometers north of Nha Trang. Taking in this scenic coastal stretch past turquoise waters and scarlet fishing boats, you will arrive in the bright lights of Nha Trang and its relaxing holiday options. Lunch will be on the way and overnight will be in Nha Trang.
Nha Trang is a beautiful city bordered by mountains, which beaches are impressively long and dotted with islands. Today is free at the leisure of your own. You can visit or relax on one of Vietnam’s best beaches and then stay overnight in Nha Trang.
After breakfast, you will leave Nha Trang and ride to Dalat. Da Lat is known as ”the city love” and is a favorite holiday resort for Vietnamese as well as the French. With evergreen forests, waterfalls, beautiful lakes, the country’s best flower gardens, and delicious fresh produce, Dalat has always provided a welcome respite from the heat of the lowlands. You can spend the day visiting the highlight of Dalat such as its gardens, cathedrals, waterfalls, markets, the valley of love, convents, universities, train stations, and key pagodas. Lunch will be on the way and overnight will be in Dalat.
Today, you will ride to Cát Tiên National Park. This forest area is the headquarter of Vietnamese Army during the war. The park suffered historically during the Vietnam War when it was extensively sprayed with herbicides like the defoliant Agent Orange. To this day, these areas have extensive bamboo and grassland cover and trees that have not yet grown back. Lunch will be at a local place and overnight will be in Cát Tiên National Park.
You will have breakfast and then check out. Drive 160 kilometers to Ho Chi Minh City which is known as ”the pearl of the far east”. Check in at a hotel, have your leisure time, and then have lunch at a local place. Afterward, take a short city tour visiting China Town, Thien Hau Pagoda, Central Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, and Lacquerware shop. Dinner and overnight will be in Ho Chi Minh City.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will go to Tay Ninh Province to visit The Great Holy See temple. This temple is the center of Caodaism, a religion that blends Buddhism, Christianity, and Confucianism. Built in 1926, the temple is considered one of the most striking structures in all of the Southeast Asia. Lunch will be at a local place. In the afternoon, you will go to Cu Chi District in Ho Chi Minh City to visit Cu Chi tunnels, an amazing 200-kilometer and complex underground tunnels used during the war against the US Army of the Vietnamese soldiers. Dinner and overnight will be in Ho Chi Minh City.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will go to My Tho City and proceed to Cai Be. Take a boat trip along the mighty Mekong River and its tributaries to view the daily lives of people who work and play on the intricate waterways of the Mekong Delta. The trip includes visits to Cai Be Floating Market, an authentic old house, and a family-run business producing rice which is a key ingredient of Vietnamese cuisine. Lunch will be at a local place. Continue driving to Can Tho and check in at a hotel. Dinner and overnight will be in Can Tho.
After breakfast at the hotel, a sampan will take you along the region’s intricate waterways to visit the exciting Cái Răng Floating Market. The market is filled with small boats darting through the water as vendors buy and sell their wares. Cruise through small canals and stop at a fruit orchard to taste some of the succulent fruits of the Mekong Delta. Back to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon, proceed to Soc Trang Town, 60 kilometers south of Can Tho that houses some colorful Khmer Buddhist temples. Visit Kh’leng Pagoda and Bat Pagoda, a home to thousands of flying foxes. Back to Can Tho, have dinner, and stay overnight there.
After breakfast and check-out, you will go to Chau Doc via Long Xuyen, a home to Hoa Hao Buddhist sect. On the way, you will stop over at Long Xuyen Catholic Cathedral. Upon arrival in Chau Doc, you will check in at a hotel. In the afternoon, visit Sam Mountain which has dozens of pagodas and temples as well as the magnificent view of Cambodia (just a few kilometers away) and of the Mekong Delta. Visit the home of the Lady Chua Xu Temple, a favorite pilgrimage site for Vietnamese on Tet holiday. Dinner and overnight will be in Chau Doc.
After breakfast, you will leave Chau Doc and back towards Ho Chi Minh City via Vinh Long. On the way back Ho Chi Minh City, you will visit a ceramic tile factory, tofu and fish sauce factory, smithy, and rice husking factory. Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon.
