The train is a fantastic way to see India, it will take approximately 5 hours to Kalka. Here, you will then be transferred to the famous narrow gauge railway to Shimla. A 97 kilometers journey taking some more 5 hours of the day, passing through over 100 tunnels, bridges, and stations. It's a wonderfully scenic trip that is certainly not to be missed. Either at the start of your tour or at the end of your adventure. Afterward, Himalaya Motorcycle Adventures will transfer you again to your hotel for your tour briefing and meet the rest of the group.

Day 2: Shimla - Sarahan

You will meet your Royal Enfield 500cc bullet and then set off toward the hill station of Narkanda. You will descend into the green Sutlej Valley and onto the first wondrous picturesque hilltop of Sarahan. You will also visit the stunning Bhimakali Temple.

Day 3: Sarahan - Sangla

You will start off early and ride to Sangla. You can relax in your tented accommodation and the locals will be cooking by the campfire at night. The route today will only be a short ride but with twisty and winding drop offs. You will follow the Baspa River east and the incredible Sutlej Valley, a beautiful idyllic mountain with a serene atmosphere and wonderful flowers that cover the valley.

Day 4: Sangla - Kalpa

You will drive to Kalpa which is a hill top town in the Spiti Valley. To enter the valley you will need to secure your in-line passes which will be done at the regional capital called Reckong Pea. This will be a beautiful ride and you will be greeted with stunning mountain views of Mount Kinnaur Kailash, said to be the summer home of the God Shiva.

Day 5: Kalpa - Tabo

Following up the Sutlej River, this will be one of the big day rides which you will thoroughly enjoy. Today, you will enter the magical Spiti Valley where the hue of colour changes. An ancient Buddhist monastery is one of the world’s most important Buddhist sites that you will visit and you will be truly amazed and enthralled by this wonderful culture, history, and religion. It will be one of the most rewarding days and you will finish it in a wonderfully comfortable hotel.

Day 6: Tabo - Kibber

You will have a gentle ride to the high village of Kibber which sits at 4270 meters or 14200 feet. It was once the highest village in the world. You will then have an enchanting ride up through a cobalt carrying river, and onto the amazingly beautiful Ki Monastery. The village of traditional Spitian houses and the incredible mountain views make this a lovely spot.

Day 7: Kibber - Chander Taal Lake

Firstly you will ride up to Komic monastery. Then, you will ranscend down carefully to Kaza for a lunch time stop. You will follow up the Spiti River and onto Losar for another well earned stop. Here, you will then traverse the wonderful but desolate Kunzam La Pass at 15000 feet, the highest part of the adventure. Later, you will take a right turn and up to Chander Taal Lake (which means Lake of the Moon). This is situated on the Samudra Tapu plateau. You will find your way through Batal for the motorable access to this incredible and awe inspiring lake for a well earned rest.

Day 8: Chander Taal Lake - Manali

You will travel back down to Batal and then onto Gramphu and up the northern side of Rohtang Pass which is regraded as one of the great rides in the Himalaya. Once you ride over the pass, the whole landscape changes from a barren rocky environment to lush green pine forests of the Kullu Valley. You will stop at Martins Sports Club and Bar for roast chicken, chips, pizza, and maybe a cheeky little ale.

Day 9 and 10: Manali

You will either rest up in Manali and do some shopping in the bazaar, relax at your hotel, or just cruise around for a day. You may want to take a nice ride to Naggar Castle and Nicholas Roerich Art Gallery. A slightly challenging ride to the wonderful temple of Bijli Mahadev is also available with its amazing views from the top point of the Kullu Valley. Also, back in Manali, you can explore other arreas and have plenty to do.

Day 11: Manali - Nagini

After relaxing for two days, you will take an easy ride down through to Kullu and ride on the beautiful mountainside roads and pass through all the small little villages along the way. You will finish the day with a glorious little sunset and a relaxing drink.

Day 12: Nagini - Shimla

Leaving Nagini, you will traverse Jelori Pass before riding back down to the Sutlej Valley and back to Shimla on a different highway from the first day's ride.
