On the way to Cuzco, you will find various Spanish churches and Inca temples to visit. Today, you will have the opportunity to visit Machu Picchu, the spiritual center of the ancient Inca reign. You will start the trip by train, continue the journey through the ruins of Ollantaytambo along the River Urubamba, until you reach the town of Aguas Calientes. From there, you will take a bus to the impressive ruins of Machu Picchu, elegantly situated on a hill and in between majestic mountains.

You will return to Cuzco by train leaving the furthest point of your trip and head to the floating islands near Puno to see The Uru. Skirting Lake Titicaca, you will leave Peru and travel towards the border of Bolivia. You will get a chance to visit the town of Copacabana on the shores of Lake Titicaca before you will board a ferry to cross over Lake Titicaca. Then, you will head towards La Paz and descend from El Alto into the centre of the highest capital city in the world.

If you are feeling adventurous, you can ride the infamous Death Road (200 kilometers gravel roads), or you can visit the city of La Paz in the afternoon. Enjoy the easy ride on the almost endless plains of this white sea of salt! You will stay in a stunningly beautiful hotel built entirely of salt.

Over the plains and through colourful mountains, the ride will take you on a twisting tarmac road to Potosí, a mining town famous throughout Spanish colonial times for its legendary mountain Cerro Rico, known as The Rich Mountain.
