You arrive at Long Beach lined with beach shacks built from bamboo and palm trees. Take a dip in crystal clear warm waters of the east or relax and take in the views from a deck chair under the cool, shaded beach hut. Enjoy a lunch of Vietnamese style. Heading into the hills, the roads soon become peaceful and surrounded by stunning countryside as you head towards Dalat. This is a full-day ride with plenty of stops to take in the sites of jungle-covered mountains.

You stop by a river for a picnic lunch. This great road is packed with winding passes as you ride up into the clouds and cooler temps along with roadside waterfalls, located on the Langbian plateau, 1600 meters above sea level. Da Lat is a cool retreat from the heat of the coastal plains, well known for its lakes, waterfalls, pine forests, and old French-styled villas. This city is also Vietnam's most popular honeymoon spot.

You will arrive in the late afternoon. Dalat's Night Markets are well worth checking out.

Day 3: Da Lat to Lak Lake, 160 kilometers / 100 miles

Today is a great day of riding more winding country roads as you head to Lak Lake with plenty of interesting stops (no tourist stuff). Don't let the mileage fool you as each day takes a fair amount of riding. Most days, you are lucky to average more than 20 - 30 kilometers per hour, a relaxed pace that gives you time to really take in this incredibly beautiful country with so many interesting sights often hidden right next to the road. Your expert guides will unfold the hidden secrets of Vietnam's glory and charm.

At Lak Lake, you stay at some local bungalows, each containing their own bathrooms while basic they will provide a good night's rest. Lak Lake is a large natural lake formed by converging rivers and streams, untouched minority villages that people from the Mnong and Edeh tribes live on the shores of Lak Lake.

Day 4: Lak Lake to Buon Ma Thuot, 110 kilometers / 69 miles

After breakfast, you ride down to a minority village with the option to take a one-hour elephant trek around the shores, and a swim through the lake itself on the back of an elephant is a real experience.

Back on the bikes, you head to Buon Ma Thuot passing through some tropical rain forest up past coffee plantations and farms. One of the interesting parts of your rides is the children who often share the roadside walking to and from school. They know the bikes as they stand apart from the common scooter. They enjoy waving at riders passing by and you cannot help but wave back at your smiling friends.

This city is the coffee trading center and has some great local markets. These are best seen early evenings or very early in the mornings.
