During this tour, you will be accommodated at a family's home and at a hotel. The rooms are based on a shared twin or double occupancy.
In the morning, your guide with motorbikes will pick you up at your hotel in Saigon and depart to Can Duoc, belongs to Long An Province on dirty off-roads. This town is known as the land of jasmine rice, sticky rice in the country. Take a short ride westward to visit Ancient Rach Cat Fortress, one of the greatest fortress in Vietnam built in 1903 by French.
Then ride eastward to visit an ancient house with 100 columns. Here, you will enjoy tea and fruits offered by the owner of the ancient house. Continue riding to Cho Gao (or Rice Market), passing through quaint villages and dragon fruit farms.
Arrive in My Tho - the heart of the Mekong Delta, stop by the bank of Tien Giang River. Have lunch then take a boat trip on Mekong River to Ben Tre. En route, visit some local families, taste honey-bee, and enjoy fruits then visit some workshops producing coconut candy. Overnight at a local house in Ben Tre. On the first day of the tour, you will spend almost seven hours riding.
After a simple breakfast with the host, then check out and say goodbye to the host then you head to Mo Cay. Here, you take a very rural route to Cho Lach via the local ferry. Stop a while to take a picture then turn on the river-side road with a very scenic view to reaching Dinh Khao Ferry. While on this ferry which is the connection of Ben Tre Province and Vinh Long Province, you have a chance to see many boats standing by on the river for fish-netting and some small boats bartering with each other.
Disembark onto another side of Tien River, you arrive at Vinh Long for lunch break and relax. Then, continue hitting the road to Can Tho.
Arriving in Can Tho city, you continue riding ten kilometers to Cai Son canal for homestay. Check in then take a slow ride along the path of fruit orchards and sometimes you may also hear the birds singing and cocks warbling at sunset. Pay visits to one orchard, small woodwork shop, tree garden laden with fruits, and rice fields. On the village roads, you may catch many interesting scenes of children bathing in the river and ladies rowing boat to bring fruits home after harvest. This time is a chance to enjoy the full of plainness, the quietness of the southern countryside, and hospitality of the Mekong Delta locals. When night gradually comes, ride back to the local house for dinner or you can turn back to homestay earlier to cook dinner together with the host. Have free cultural exchanging in the evening.
At 20:00, you have a night cruise to observe the fireflies flying or hiding in the bushes of cork-trees like few natural lighting strings for decorating a Christmas tree. 21:00 is the time for you to disembark and back to the local house. Overnight in Can Tho. You will ride for about five hours.
At 06:30, wake up early for simple breakfast with Vietnamese milky coffee. Take a boat trip to Cai Rang Floating Market, one of the busiest fruit market in Southeast Asia. You have a long distance cruise and walk on a quiet country road to take in the magnificent scenery and get close to the locals as they go about their daily routine.
Go back to the homestay for checking out. Then, you will ride back to Can Tho city for a short visit at Can Tho central market and Binh Thuy ancient house which design is a combination of Vietnam and France with interesting involved stories but also a garden with various flowers and fruits, including a wide range of orchids and a record cactus.
Head back to Saigon by 1A highway on your "steel horses" with stops for rest. Lunch en route. Arrive your hotel in Saigon in the late afternoon or evening. On the last day of the tour, you will ride for about five hours.
