Some of the participants enjoy riding as many kilometers as possible in a day, whereas others prefer to arrive early at the hotel to relax and enjoy the amenities before dinner. Legendary Rides choose to organize their daily rides at a pleasant pace. The stated riding times do not include breaks, photo stops, site visits, and time spent for lunch. A riding day usually starts around 9 a.m., if necessary, a little earlier or sometimes even later.

You need to have a full motorcycle license for at least 5 years. That would be:

  • A European Class A, unrestricted displacement and power
  • For non-EU citizens, an IDP (International Driving Permit). The IDP is a formal document that is used while traveling internationally. It contains the details of your driving license, translated in English in a standardized format. This format is recognized and approved by authorities in different countries, including Greece.

Legendary Rides offers exclusively Indian Chieftain motorcycles. All of them are equipped with lockable hard saddle-bags, riding command with GPS, passenger pillion backrest together with luggage rack.

Tour schedule

Legendary Rides have planned their schedule to get the most out of their weekend tour in Peloponnisos. Most, of course, does not refer to the amount of riding kilometers or miles per day but to experiencing the most in a day and always at a relaxed and pleasant pace.

Day 1: Athens - Nafplio (171 kilometers / 106 miles)

  • Riding time: 3 hours

Pick up the Chieftains from Legendary Rides offices and ride to Nafplio, the first capital of modern Greece. You will cross the Corinth canal Isthmus that separates Peloponissos from mainland Greece to continue on scenic coastal roads and visit the unique Ancient Theater of Epidavros. You will lunch at the picturesque seaport village of Palea Epidavros, and in the evening, you will visit and dine in the lovely old town of Nafplio.

Day 2: Nafplio - Mykines - Athens (150 kilometers / 93 miles)

  • Riding time: 2 hours 30 minutes

After a nice morning coffee facing the old fortress of Bourtzi, you start your ride to Ancient Mykines and visit the over 3,000-year old palace of mythical king Agamemnon, the oldest in mainland Greece. A nice lunch on the outskirts of Mykines the birthplace of the beautiful Helen of Troy and back you ride to Athens for a free evening in town.

Estimated durations or time of riding or evaluations of touring grading (touring or challenging roads) are made on the basis of personal experience of Legendary Rides' crew. These will not be considered as hard documented data that apply to all riders. Each rider has different levels of experience, skills, physical, and mental endurances. For these reasons, each individual rider can experience an actual route or the whole tour in a different way.

You are kindly requested to evaluate all the information given above to your own perception. Legendary Rides or its crew cannot be held liable if the given information do not match the rider’s personal experiences or perceptions during the tour.

Legendary Rides do provide helmets for guided motorcycle tours, but they kindly recommend that you bring your own personal helmet for comfort and hygiene reasons. However, Indian motorcycle helmets for purchase, at a special price, will also be available. Law in Greece requires wearing helmets while riding a motorcycle.
