This route is a favourite riding route taking in a combination of excellent riding roads and ancient sites along the way. For those new to riding this part of the world, LemonRock Bike Tours offers an option to take the motorcycle guide and professional trainer, Brian from Trim Motorcycling Training, on this first day. Brian is also available for the entire 3 days tour, if you want to opt for that.

Places of interest include:

  • Kells

Day 3 - Midlands: A ride off the beaten track (4 hours / 250 kilometers / 155 miles)

Today’s ride takes you westward to the midlands, and through some wonderfully quiet roads. You will love the yesteryear atmosphere of the quiet villages where you are unlikely to meet tourists.

Places you visit include:

  • Kilbeggan Distillery
  • Clonmacnoise - a 6th century early Christian settlement on the banks of the River Shannon
  • Glasson - a great spot for lunch on one of the gastro pubs
  • Fore Abbey

As today’s ride is shorter than the other day’s rides, you have the option to visit Dublin for the evening or relax in Trim.

Day 4 - The Garden of Ireland (6 hours / 380 kilometers / 236 miles)

This ride takes in some of the favoured riding routes from the Dublin motorcycling enthusiasts. You ride south east into Conty Wicklow, which is known as The Garden of Ireland, due to its wonderful scenery.

It equally excels as a riding destination with these passes and destinations to enjoy:

  • Sally Gap
  • Wicklow Gap
  • Glenmalure
  • Birr

Day 5 - Depart

Depending on the time of the flight, you may have time for shopping in Dublin or to take a direct shuttle service back to Dublin Airport (DUB).
