This route contains one of Let's Ride The World's favourite locations, Wiang Haeng. It is one of Chiang Mai’s most remote little towns, and with it being a Shan village, it has some fantastic food to offer! The food in Pai is great too and provides a beautiful contrast to Wiang Haeng. This route has many variations, and the program can adapt to suit most riders. On all the routes there will be single track, army checkpoints, hidden helipads, local villages, fast sections, technical sections, and a barrel of laughs. Wiang Haeng is an excellent route for any rider that has the skills to ride on the road. A good number of options to suit almost any rider.
You will always stay in good quality comfortable accommodation. On average, you will stay in 3-star hotels and above all with airconditioning when needed. The room will accommodate up to two people maximum.
If you would like to upgrade to full five-star luxury accommodation during your tour, just ask, and Let's Ride The World will organize the perfect tour for you to enjoy.
On the first day, Let's Ride the World does hotel pick up or airport pick-up from Chiang Mai international airport. The tour starts in Chaing Mai and you'll go to the small tourist town of Pai and the quiet remote village of Wieng Haeng. You will also ride all the way up to the border in the Thai jungle where you can see over Myanmar.
The program has many different routes for each of my tours so this can be done by beginners to advanced riders. However, it is an intermediate level trail for best results. On average, you will ride 150 to 180 kilometers per day ranging from the technical single trail to twisting gravel roads.
On the off-road tours, Let's Ride The World offers the CRF250 that are fully customized to the terrain you will be riding. They also have a selection of the KLX250 now available for those that would prefer it. They make their bikes durable so you can carry on in almost any circumstances. They are great fun to ride and with the setup, have a good punch to blast your round the dirt. Bikes are subject to availability so book as far in advance as you can.
You should have a valid international driving permit (IDP) or valid license with motorcycle amendments. For the off-road tours, this is not always required. Send an inquiry to Let's Ride the World for more information.
If you have any excess luggage, you can store it at Let's Ride The World's office at no extra cost. They also provide you with luggage carriers to bring anything you want along with you.
Let's Ride the World has a stock of helmets, jackets, gloves, knee guards, and off-road boots. If you have your own gear, they suggest you bring it if you can. Everybody likes to wear their own clothes rather than someone else’s.
You can buy motorbike gear in Chiang Mai. Although the brands you are used to will cost more, there is a wide selection of other brands that Let's Ride the World's staff have tried and tested, that surprisingly hold up to the mark.
Comfortable in all conditions described above and:
Breakfast and lunch are included in the package. However, Let's Ride The World doesn't include dinner as most people like to go and explore the evening locations and taste varies massively between Thai style or Western style. They will give you some fabulous recommendations though either way.
