During this motorcycle tour, you will be accommodated in a double room at private houses, local hotels, all-inclusive beach hotel, and classic hotels in Havanna. Moto-Mundo uses good friendly accommodations, where you can enjoy the inside of a local accommodation with an authentic character and friendly ambiance. Furthermore, Moto-Mundo values hygiene and good service the most and sure will make the tour as comfortable as possible.
You will take off from Copenhagen or Billund in Denmark flying to Havana in Cuba, passing through Paris or Amsterdam. You will be received at the airport by Moto-Mundo’s Cuban guide and together, you will travel to your hotel.
Your motorbike will be registered with Cuban number-plates and after this, you will go on the first ride in Havana. You will have a guided walk in the "Old Havana".
You will have all day to spend in Havana looking around the area. There will be a possibility to visit the world famous Cabaret Tropicana at night.
Today, you will have a short drive to Matanzas. During this trip, you will visit Hemingway House which is now used as a museum and is left completely as the day in 1960, when he left Cuba. The house is located on the outskirts of Havana.
Today, you will drive towards Santa Clara and you will follow the old 2 track highway, Carretera Central. The part that you will pass through is the spine in Cuban farming. Fruit plantations, rice fields, vegetables, and enormous cattle farms will fill the landscape.
The day will be free to spend as you like, but it will most certainly be a day of Che. Santa Clara is a Che Guevara's city which is a very exciting and alive city. In this city, you will stay at private houses. You will also visit a cigar factory.
You will have to travel further today. You will travel the longest distance which is why you start by driving by the 8-track highway and follow the road. You will go to Camagüey which is the third largest city in Cuba founded in 1514, with its 280,000 citizens.
This day is free to spend as you like. You can watch the historic city or join Moto-Mundo for a small trip. For those who are interested, Moto-Mundo will take a trip to Playa Coco at the north coast and have a riding distance about 137 miles / 220 kilometers.
The day will bring you to the north coast. You will drive on the smaller roads towards Morón. After lunch by an exciting Laguna, the trip will continue towards your next hotel. The hotel is located by the road between Mayajigua and Jaguajay. Here, the small houses are placed between the big palms and animals. There will be a bar by the swimming pool and thermal baths.
Today's trip will take you from the north coast to Trinidad on the south coast. You will cross the highway at Sancti Spiritus and here, you will stop for lunch before traveling the last 47 miles / 75 kilometers to Trinidad.
This day will be free to spend as you want and there will be a possibility to swim with dolphins. Trinidad is a very old and handsomely-unspoiled colony town. This city is on the UNESCO World Heritage list. You can also have music and dance in the town square in the evening.
The day will be free to spend as you wish and there will be a possibility to go for a drive to the mountains and rainforest, up to the Hanabanilla lake. If you like, you can swim by La Boca outside Trinidad.
Another lovely long drive will await you. You will go back towards Havana but only to Varadero. Again, you will drive across Cuba through the lovely varying scenery. During this trip, you will visit a crocodile farm and have lunch. Varadero is known by most charter-tourists. Here, you will find some of the best bathing beaches in Cuba.
You will have a totally relaxing day at the beach and a day for basking in the sun. You will be accommodated at an all-inclusive hotel.
At noon, you will travel via small roads through little sleepy province towns south around Havana. This will be an exciting day in the area where tourists normally do not come. In this area, you will see the contrast to Varadero which you have just left. You will see the authentic Cuba.
For you who do not wish to lie by the pool all day, you can have a wonderful trip in "Parque Nacional de Viñales". You can visit "Cueva del Indio" where you will follow a tortuous limestone-tunnel down to an underground river. You will then sail by boat out again.
You will travel further towards west through the Pinar del Río Province to Cuba's west-most point. Your hotel will be located on the beach which is sought after by divers-paradise.
Today, you will relax and enjoy the fantastic water. In the afternoon, you will go for a drive about 2 x 50 miles / 80 kilometers where you will visit a lighthouse and marina. The marina is the western-most point in Cuba. In Cabo de San Antonio, you can enjoy allegedly the best Mojito in Cuba. In the area, you will travel through a place where many iguanas live, so you will have a great opportunity to see one.
Today, you will drive back to Havana through tobacco fields. You will have your lunch in Pinar del Río Province. At night, you will be picked up in the old American cars and be driven to the other side of the Havana harbor entrance. At the El Morro fort, the sun is shot down every night.
In the morning, you will drive out and pack your motorbikes in the container. You will also have farewell dinner in the evening.
The day will be free to spend as you wish. You can do all those things you want to do, buy the last souvenirs, or take a walk along the Malecon. You will then be transferred by bus to the airport.
You will land in Paris or Amsterdam after more about 8-hour flight. From here, you will continue by plane to Copenhagen or Billund.
Notes: All types of motorbikes are welcomed. However, you can also rent a bike from Moto-Mundo. Your motorbike will be sailed in a container from Denmark 6 to 8 weeks before your departure and return to Denmark about 6 weeks after you coming home.
