Are you ready to embark on the most unforgettable moto-adventure? You will have 7 days of joy and excitement through this motorcycle tour in Costa Rica. Explore the nature through an amazing journey in Costa Rican coastal area. Experience the unique trail in various locations. Ascending and descending the hill, river and stream crossing would be an inevitable experience in this retreat. Come and join in this amazing journey!
You will be staying at various accommodations chosen by MotoAdventures Costa Rica.
Arrival at Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) in San Jose, Costa Rica. You will be picked up by a member of the MotoAdventures staff and transferred to the hotel, located in Escazu the best and most modern area of Costa Rica.
Depending on your time of arrival, you can take the opportunity to visit the Multiplaza Mall which is within walking distance from the hotel. Good hydration is recommended on this first day in preparation for your ride.
Ride from Escazu to Aserri Mountains, stay at a lodge at 6.000 feet overlooking the city of San Jose, cool weather, and nice mountain trails this day with great views of the central valley. Ride pine tree forests, cloud forest trails, mountain trails of all kinds, trails for all riding levels.
Ride from Aserri to Parrita on the Pacific coast. This day is a very mountainous ride, you will descend to the Pacific coast, single track tight trails down to the rain forest trails, some tight some fast very green along the way, some river crossings too, arriving through the palm tree plantations to Parrita.
Ride from Parrita to Hermosa Beach, you will stay right at the beach hotel in front of the ocean. You will first ride a portion of the classic 2-day enduro trails that start your climb towards the beach, again through the rain forest with many rivers and stream crossings.
You will stop in the town of Delicias for lunch. From there you will take single track trails across ridges to get to Hermosa Beach, some of this rain forest trails are very long and lots of fun, you cannot help not having a big grin during the ride.
Stay in Hermosa Beach. This day can be used as a free day to rest after the ride or to recover from the good nightlife Jaco Beach has offered you the night before. Today you can enjoy the many activities that Hermosa Beach offers. You can simply relax on the beach or take one of the many tours offered at the front desk of the hotel.
There is a wide variety of things to do in Jaco such as the Canopy Tour (highly recommended), crocodile safari, horseback riding, scuba diving, sports fishing, snorkeling, surfing, boogie boarding, waterfall hike or national reserve nature tour. If you're just itching to do more riding, Jaco has an excellent enduro loop that is part of the classic two-day Enduro Jaco Beach race.
Ride from Hermosa beach to San Jose. This day is a very mountainous ride, covering forest with trails that include many river crossings, hill climbs and descents. Many of these trails have high berms in the corners making them a unique type of trail.
You will have lunch in the town of Santa Marta and from there you will take the Airplane Trail (above the clouds). The airplane trail will take you to Carara National Park where you will ride through rainforest trails that form a natural motocross track running approximately 20 miles.
End of the trip, you will be transported with your gear from the hotel to the airport for your return home.
Founder and principal guide, Larry Larrabure is a Peruvian who lives and plays in San Jose, Costa Rica where he arrived in 1991. Larry a motorcycle enthusiast, he came in 1988 for a surf trip and fell in love with the country, and returned to his native Peru with the idea that someday he will return and make a living in this beautiful country doing Motorcycle tours.
Manuel is a native Costa Rican in his late 20's with many motorcycling credits to his name, including 1998 Costa Rican Cross Country Champion and 1997 Costa Rican Enduro Champion A class.
Pablo is a native Costa Rican in his early 40's who eats sleeps and breathes moto-adventure sports. Pablo has won several motorbike championships during his career.
Javier is in his mid-twenties and the current National enduro and cross country champion. Javier has won several motorbike championships during his career.
This retreat will take place in Costa Rica. During this tour, you will visit several places such as Escazu, Aserri Mountains, Parrita, Hermosa Beach, and San Jose.
Please book your flight to arrive at Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO). MotoAdventures Costa Rica will pick you up from the airport.
