Accommodation

The resorts vary according to the tour and group. However, all resorts are either beachfront or riverfront, and use smaller boutique resorts instead of the massive "typical tourist" venues. In Jarabacoa, you will stay at Hotel Gran Jimenoa, and in Samana, you will stay at Hotel Playa Colibri. All resort accommodations are private.

Generally, the accommodations are equipped with king or queen size bed, air-conditioner, cable TV, and showers with hot and cold water. The accommodations are upscale, clean, and comfortable. If you’d like, MotoCaribe Motorcycle Adventure Tours can provide coffee pots and supplies in your room, as well as bottled water for the entire trip.

Program

Program

This tour starts in the tropical mountain town of Jarabacoa. You will spend a day touring the central mountains, winds through the road called “The Tail of the Iguana”, along with the oceanfront north coast to the Samana peninsula, one of the most tropical regions in the Caribbean.

You will spend a day exploring the peninsula, a day relaxing on a breathtaking beach enjoying lobster lunch, then travel back through the northern range and finish with a day riding some of the most amazing mountain roads on the planet. The north coast tour travels through two of the country’s four distinct climate zones.

The daily schedule is simple, you will meet for breakfast at the resort at 07:30, you go over the day's routes, stops and challenges, and you will be on the road by 08:30. You will ride all day with planned stops, have an awesome lunch on the road, and get back to the resort before dark. There will be a non-riding day at the beach along with a seafood lunch.

In this tour, you will have a fantastic motorcycling on the planet on the well maintained Suzuki V-Strom DL650, the bullet-proof Swiss Army Knife of motorcycles, including some of the most epic mountain twisties on the planet!

Please note that this is not a tour for inexperienced riders. There are numerous mountain roads and some complex suburban/urban areas. That said, all guests go home a better rider than when they came, including experienced riders. The riding experience is exotic.
