Terrain and difficulty

You will ride on 50 percent paved roads and 50 percent gravel, dirt, mud, and varied roads, from good highways to small, sealed back roads with potholes. You will encounter many curves, the Andean Mountain passes, and extreme scenic routes. The tour is for riders with expert off-road and touring skills, good curving skills, ability to stay calm in hectic traffic, and the ability to ride longer sections of gravel, dirt roads, and parts on muddy tracks.

During this motorcycle tour, you will be provided with breakfast daily. Breakfast is usually served at the place where you stay overnight. If not, the guide will arrange for breakfast elsewhere before you ride. Lunches, dinners, and drinks are not included on the tour.

You will always do about a one-hour lunch stop along the route and at night, the guide will suggest a local restaurant where the group has the option of dining together. Vegetarian options are available almost everywhere. Pescetarians will have good options for seafood and fish almost everywhere. Meat lovers will be very happy!
