After a short sightseeing and break, you will ride from Tabanan to the west and across the mountains to the north coast of Bali.

You will stop for some pictures around the rice paddies, local villages, and the Balinese life. It will be a relaxed ride with less traffic but a lot of curves. You will catch many of these views on your helmet cam. Afterward, you will enjoy your lunch in a small Balinese warung. On the north side of Bali, you will follow the coast street to the ferry port to Java. It will only take an hour to reach Java Island. After a supply and photo stop in Banyuwangi, you will ride uphill on small roads to the Kawah Ijen Volcano. In the evening, you will stay in a little guest house with a lovely tropical garden at the foot of the volcano. You will have dinner as well as cold beer if you like.

Day 2: Kawah Ijen Volcano, Banyuwangi

You will wake up really early in 01:00 in the morning. After a short preparation, you will leave the guesthouse and ride to Kawah Ijen. The air will be refreshing. Your parking place is the ranger station in a 1800 meters altitude. You will receive masks to protect you inside the crater from the sulfur smell. You will climb the volcano rim afterward. The path is steep but very well developed and you will not be alone.

After a 1.5 to 2-hour hike with some breaks, you will arrive at the hut of the sulfur miners. From here, you will trek the last peak to the crater rim at 2200 meters alitude on the active volcano. Inside the crater, there's sulfur flames and a blue lake. You will be able to see the miners working to break the sulfur. You will also see blue, red, or yellow flames hissing out of the earth with a sulfur vapor in the air. Around 04:00, you will leave the crater to enjoy the next highlight which is the sunrise. You will take a long rest before you go back to the ranger station.

At 07:30, you will arrive at your guesthouse and relax for a few hours and have breakfast. You will continue at noon and ride through the dense jungle with giant ferns, coffee plantation, and grass-covered steppes in the highlands. You will see some animals crossing the road. A Wonderful Motorbike (Enduro) Adventure

CONS Cons: 1. A bit of a rush. Would like to have more pit stops to do shopping of local produce and souvenirs. 2. Safety. Need more comprehensive protection. E.g. Enduro boots, shin and elbow guard. 3. Some of the roads and traffic conditions can be dangerous especially for the inexperience motorcyclist.

PROS Pros: - Friendly Tour Operator. Very responsive and trustworthy. - Rides covered a variety of road, terrain types making it a comprehensive motorbike adventure. - Very scenic. - Beautiful choices of accommodation. Beach front view and individual chalets.

Organizer response: Thanks a lot for your comment, just allow me to give my view too. According to the previous tours done, a break every hour was sufficient as well as the tour description clarifys that this tour is for experienced riders. Sorry if this didn´t fit your expectation. As the tour leads mostly through the countryside any souvenir shops are rarly available. We hope, despite your cons, you could enjoy this tour.

"We took the one-day guided tour. Our motorcycle was a Kawasaki 250cc enduro. The tour ended up being around 10 hours. We got to see many different locations including a brick-making factory village, various temples, rice paddies. We also had a delicious lunch at village Wurung and ride up the mountain on winding roads to a secret waterfall which was breathtaking. It is highly recommended for anyone who wants to see Bali on 2 wheels. Plus our guide was great and spoke English so he was able to provide insight on all the sites we visited. It was worth it and of the best experiences of my life. I also ended up renting the bike for 2 more days just to get around on my own. Although, I would say it's not a tour for beginner riders."

"It was an excellent service and an awesome one-day guided tour. Kris was extremely accommodating leading up to the tour and made he a great bike suggestion, the Honda CB150R. The tour I selected was a unique mixture of riding the back roads up into the moutains and cultural visits. I thoroughly enjoyed the day especially riding along the winding back roads both tarred and dirt, experiencing the smells of home cooking, dodging dogs who park themselves in the road, and catching glimps of typical Balinese life as we ride through traditional villages. I highly recommend this tour!"

"My rental experience with this company could not have been any better. I did my research and visited other rental agencies and chose this one based on the condition of the bikes and customer service from the owners. I am an avid enduro rider and rent from only the best and these guys went above and beyond the rest. The bike ran flawlessly the entire week and I highly recommended Motor Adventure Bali."
