They offer the amenities you need to enjoy your trip. After your exciting day, you can sleep peacefully knowing that your bike is in a safe indoor place.

They will be happy to share their personal experiences of riding the roads around the area and can give you maps and addresses to google for your GMS systems. There is a guy who often sneaks in during the evening to wash your windshields for you!

Take a relaxing scenic drive on some back country roads to visit some of the many nearby attractions, parks, and small town communities.

Step back in time and stroll down the streets of Mount Airy and feel the history of the TV Town of Mayberry. Cruise the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway and take in the many great views. The central location allows for many enjoyable and relaxing things to do on your vacation. Come and spend some quality time on a beautiful mountain farm as you create some great memories.

Step back to a simpler time when you visit Mount Airy. Actor Andy Griffith grew up there and it is no coincidence that a stroll down Mount Airy’s Main Street reminds people of the town of Mayberry from The Andy Griffith Show. Mount Airy, Pilot Mountain, Dobson, and Elkin the Communities of Surry County offers something for everyone.

Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy riding down the breathtaking Blue Ridge Parkway, hiking at Pilot Mountain State Park or canoeing on the Yadkin River. Bluegrass and traditional music lovers can take in a jam session or live radio show every Saturday morning in Downtown Mount Airy.

History buffs can delve into the area’s colorful past at the Mount Airy Museum of Regional History and by visiting the county’s myriad of historic sites. Taste fine wines and tour the grounds of Old North State Winery located on Main Street in Mount Airy, North Carolina. Mount Airy is also located in the Yadkin Valley Wine Region home to over 24 wineries.

Local attractions include the Pilot Mountain State Park and Stone Mountain State Park, the annual Labor Day Flea Market and Gun Show in Hillsville, Virginia, the Annual Mayberry Days in Mount Airy, North Carolina, hometown of The Andy Griffith Show, the Annual Galax Fiddler’s Convention, Merle Fest, and many more local events featured every season!

Furthermore, the Cascade Highlands is home to an exciting and diverse landscape of mountains, rivers, and parks providing an endless variety of opportunities for outdoor recreation. Whether you prefer an active day of cycling, paddling, fishing, hunting, hiking, equestrian, motorcycle riding, or a relaxing evening on the back porch or around a campfire, the region beckons.

The mountains and rivers are among the oldest in the world. The clean and refreshing headwaters of major rivers such as the New, Yadkin, and Dan originate in the Cascade Highlands before beginning their long journey to the sea.

The ancient Appalachian Mountains and foothills rise impressively and are among the most beautiful landscapes in Eastern America. Large expanses of undeveloped and picturesque landscapes are a delight for visitors wishing to escape the rigors of urban life and to enjoy the magic and majesty of the mountains. You may also explore arts, crafts, and culture, festivals and events, and nearby dining.
