You will have today to settle in and adjust to Myanmar time. You will have a dinner at a local Burmese restaurant where you can meet the other riders and go over the trip ahead. Overnight stay at the hotel in Mandalay.

Day 2: Mandalay - Amarapura - Sagaing - Mandalay sightseeing (59 miles / 95 kilometers)

In the morning, you will meet the motorcycles and you will be riding for the duration of the tour. The 250cc is the perfect motorcycle for touring Myanmar's varying terrain. The bike is light enough to put on a boat but powerful enough to make it up the highest mountain Myanmar has to offer. You will take a tour of Mandalay and the surrounding areas today and get used to the bikes and the local riding style. You will visit U Bein Bridge, Amarapura, and Sagaing, and have a sunset on Mandalay Hill before going to dinner. Overnight stay at the hotel in Mandalay.

Day 3: Mandalay to Pyin Oo Lwin (68 miles / 110 kilometers)

After breakfast, you start riding from Mandalay to Pyin Oo Lwin. Offroad touring around the villages and continue the ride to Pyin Oo Lwin. You will go north zigzagging your way up the mountains and then arrive at the British hill station of Pyin Oo Lwin. You should have time to visit the picturesque National Kandawgyi Botanical Gardens before sunset. You will have dinner at an upscale European / Asian restaurant on the lake.

Day 4: Pyi Oo Lwin to Ywangan Township (109 miles / 175 kilometers)

If you don't make it to the gardens the day before, you will see them in the morning. You will also have time to ride around the town to experience the old summer capital of colonial Burma. Then, you will work your way back down the Shan Plateau (back-road this time) and have a spectacular river crossing on a small wooden boat. You will pass another mountain range before finally heading up a narrow paved mountain road to the small Danu town of Ywangan. The sleepy village doesn't offer much for entertainment but the food is good, beds are clean, and the showers are hot. Overnight at the hotel in Ywangan.

Day 5: Ywangan - Pindaya - Kalaw

After a simple breakfast at the Ywangan hotel, you'll head east to another mountain range on an unfinished road that will take you through some tea growing villages and cliff-side trails to a sealed road on the other side. You will then go to Pindaya where you will visit a famous Buddha filled cave where, legend has it, a Shan prince saved a group of captive maidens from a giant spider. On the ways along the road side, you can see panoramic plantation fields of cabbages, paddy fields. You will continue to make your way south through Shan, Danu, and Pa-O villages until you descent on Kalaw - British hill station at the colonial time. Relax at the hotel in Kalaw.

Continue to the golden stupa of Shwezigon Pagoda for an introduction into Bagan's rich history. Continue to Ananda Temple, an architectural masterpiece and one of Bagan's most beautiful temples. Built in the early Mon-style, Ananda contains two unique Buddha images whose expressions seem to change depending on the distance from which the statue is viewed. Overnight stay in Bagan.

Day 10: Mindat - Kanpetlet - Mount Victoria (62 miles / 100 kilometers)
