You will enjoy your first night at a quaint bed which has western design sense combined with Japanese hospitality. You will then spend another night at a quaint Japanese-style family inn. On your last night, you will enjoy a night at a rustic Japanese-style family inn which is filled with 1950s-1960s antiques and new outdoor bathing facilities added in 2014.
You will enjoy your first night at a hotel located adjacent to the Hakone Ropeway. The outdoor hot spring baths offer a beautiful view of Mount Fuji. Then, you will spend your second night at a hotel located on the shores of Lake Kawaguchi. This hotel is surrounded by natural gardens and great views with a park-like grounds setting. Your last night will be spent at a hotel perched above Takayama and nestled in the mountains. This hotel offers a variety of hot springs baths and a traditional Kaiseki Ryori meal in the room.
Today, you will enjoy a cruise on Lake Ashino. You will also take in a beautiful view of Mount Fuji and the famous Hakone Torii. Afterward, you will ride the famous Hakone Ropeway which is the world’s second longest aerial lift. Then, you will stop by volcanic springs.
Hakone is hidden in the mountain southwest of Tokyo. This place is a famous hot springs resort and home to many fun places to visit. You will enjoy a ride on one of the longest ropeways in the world to Owakudani geysers, home to the famous Kurotamago Black Eggs. Then, you will onward to Lake Ashi, where you can enjoy a leisurely boat cruise with stops at Hakone Shrine and other historic sites.
On this day, you will climb to the summit of Mount Fuji or explore mysterious caves in the Mount Fuji mountain range. This icon of Japan is just a couple of hours away from the office. If you visit in summer, you can climb Mount Fuji. But, if you are looking for something easier, you can have a rope way ride up from Lake Kawaguchi to enjoy a spectacular view.
If you are feeling adventurous, you can descend into the depths of Mount Fuji and explore an ice cave. To warm up, be sure to try a pot of ‘houtou’, a regional specialty stew with flour noodles and miso soup. You can also go to Fuji-Q Highland which is the Japan's premier roller coaster park and home to several world record coasters.
Today, you will explore the World Heritage Site of Shirakawa village, where you will see traditional handicrafts and architecture from centuries ago. You can also go shopping in the old town area where time stopped 400 years ago. Then, you will visit an old sake factory and relax in a traditional tea shop.
Shirakawa and Okayama is a village located in Hida Takayama. This area is home to 2 World Heritage Sites and priceless treasures of Japan. No wonder it received 3 stars in the Michelin Guide. Visiting this place, you can explore must-see spots such as Shirakawa, Okayama, the Sanmachi District, and the Hida-Takayama Museum of Art.
Today will be your departure day. You will pack your luggage and fly back home.
