Unforgettable Nepal Motorcycle Tour

Lomangthang is called “the last forbidden kingdom of Nepal”. Upper Mustang trails move through the deepest gorge of the earth made by the Kaligandaki River, Kagbeni to Lo-Manthang. Kaligandaki (Black) River, primitive Tibetian culture, longest mani walls in Upper Mustang, Mountain Desert and mystic valley. Red Gompa and a spiritual gate of Chorten, Lomangthang (the capital city of Mustang), King Palace and Prince of Upper Mustang are also the major attractions of this tour.

You will be staying at hotels, guesthouses, and lodges along the way. The room is based on twin sharing.


Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

After the arrival in Kathmandu, an Offroad Nepal crew member will be there to pick you up in Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu, Nepal. The crew member will take you to the hotel where you will be staying tonight. In the evening, you'll be having dinner with the Offroad Nepal crew members and have an introduction of the guides and the crew.

Day 2: Fly to Pokhara

On this day, you will be flying to Pokhara and when you reach Pokhara you’ll visit the place where your bikes are kept and hand over the bikes to all the clients and do minor changes if they need any. In the night, you will be having dinner with the Offroad Nepal crew members and discuss the itineraries and riding conditions for the following days.

Day 3: Pokhara - Lete (135 kilometers / 83 miles)

After resting at lakeside, you will start to head towards the Himalayas.

  • 80 kilometers tarmac and 55 kilometers off-road
  • Riding hours: 6 hours
  • Will be staying at the guest house under the Tukche Himalayan

Day 4: Lete - Syangboche (95 kilometers / 59 miles)

After the good scenic morning view of Dhaulaghiri Himalayas around you, you will be heading towards the restricted area of Mustang region, where every tourist needs to apply for the permit. You shall visit hidden trails, some of the lakes and monasteries in between. As you will be staying a day here to acclimatize for the altitude.

  • Riding hours: 6 hours
  • You will be staying at a local tea house in Syanboche.

Day 5: Syangboche - Upper Mustang (40 - 70 kilometers / 25 - 43 miles)

After 40 kilometers behind Upper Mustang it's an easy day today; to rest and look the heavenly scenery on the way to Lomanthang city. On this day you can ride more and visit nearby monasteries after discussion during lunch, or you can rest for the day.

  • Riding hours: 3 - 6 hours
  • Accommodation at a resort (King Resort of Lomangthang)

Day 6: Upper Mustang - Tatopani (160 kilometers / 100 miles)

China - Nepal border is just 25 kilometers away from Lomanthang city. Today you will visit the China-Nepal border and some hidden caves in the Upper Mustang region.

  • Riding hours: 5-7 hours
  • Overnight at the same guesthouse as the previous night

Day 7: Tatopani - Pokhara (120 kilometers / 75 miles)

Today you will be descending back towards the height of 3600 meters, in the famous holy place of every Hindu, Muktinath.

  • Riding hours: 6-8 hours
  • Overnight at a guesthouse

Day 8: Pokhara, fly back to Kathmandu

After all the long journey, finally it’s time to get back home. In the evening, you’ll have a farewell dinner and drink share some good time together before saying goodbye.

Day 9: Departure

After the successful tour, you will be leaving Nepal. You will have hotel transportation to the airport in Kathmandu.
