Day 1: Negombo - Ratnapura - Galle - Unawatuna

Starting at 06:30, ride to Ratnapura. It is the city of gemstones. Ratna means gem in shinhala. From old times, Sri Lanka is very famous for gems in the world. Ratnapura has a varieties collection of gems including sapphires, rubies, star rubies, topaz, cat's eyes, aquamarines, tourmalines, garnets, amethysts, moonstones, alexandrites, and more. Visit Gem Mine to see how to pick gems up from well and Ratnapura National Museum. Proceed to ride to Gella Galle, the largest city in Southern Sri Lanka. In the 14th century, Galle prospered as the key port of trade between Arabic trader. In the 16th century, a fortress was built by Portuguese. After that Dutch controlled and expanded the fortress. After Galle, you will visit Unawatuna. It is located just 5 kilometers southeast of Galle. Its beach is small, but still remains idyllic scene and clean and white sand. You will stay at a hotel and overnight in Unawatuna.

Day 2: Tissamaharama

After breakfast, ride to Tissamaharama. It is located on southeast of Sri Lanka. This town is a starting point to Yala National Park and Kataragama. It was the capital of the Sinhalese kingdom of Ruhuna. The large artificial Tissa Wewa lake and Pagodas are built that time. You will stay at a hotel in Tissamaharama.

Day 3: Yala - Buttala

After breakfast, ride to Yala National Park. Yala National Park is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka. It is a common location for a large herd of elephants. You will go to park by Jeep, then you proceed riding. Kitulgala is located on southwest of Kandy. It is very famous for white water rafting in the Kaleni river. You can choose from among courses from beginner to advanced. Then you proceed riding to buttala. You will stay at a hotel and overnight in Buttala.

Day 4: Monaragala - Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, ride to Moneragala. Monaragala rock of peacock landing and is blessed with rubber sugar cane and cocoa plantations. It is also fertile for paddy field which is why the main occupation of those living here is farming. This area has its abundance of wildlife such as elephants, fox, buffalo, deer, elk, wild boar, and many peacocks. After Monaragala, you proceed to Nuwara eliya, the main producer of ceylon tea. You can get a sensational view of tea plantation and waterfalls. During British colonial period, Nuwara eliya flourished as a summer retreat. You can see colonial style buildings and still maintain old English-style lawns and gardens.You will stay at a hotel overnight in Nuwara eliya.

Day 5: Adam's Peak

Early morning, you will ride to Sri pda (Adam's Peak) with packed breakfast and go to a special holy mountain for Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, and Christians. It is located in the southwest of Nuwara Eliya and 2238 meters above sea level. The season is from November to May. Many pilgrims and tourists climb this mountain at this time.You will start to climb up in the middle of the night, look up the sunrise at the summit, and then early morning go down the mountain.

Day 6: Kitulgala - Kandy

After breakfast, ride to kitulgala. Kitulgala is located on southwest of Kandy. It is very famous for white water rafting in the Kaleni river. Then, proceed riding to Kandy, the last capital of Sri lanka. It is famous for the temple of the tooth and many other temples. The city could be called the culture capital of the island. Then travel to Peradeniya Botanical Garden which is located about 5.5 kilometers to the west from Kandy. It is renowned for collection of a variety of orchids. It includes more than 300 varieties of orchids, spices, medicinal plants, and palm trees. On the way back, you can visit the gem museum, batic factory, silk factory, and tea factory. You will stay overnight at a hotel in Kandy.

Day 7: Pinnawala - Negombo

After breakfast, ride to Pinnawala. Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage (nearby Kegalle) was created to protect abandoned or orphaned elephants. You can see elephants roaming freely around the sanctuary area. 10:00 to 12:00 / 14:00 to 16:00 is bathing time, meanwhile 09: 00 / 13:15 / 17:00 is feeding time.
