Enjoy the route via a picturesque road situated above the canyon of the Indus River back toward Leh. This time you will not enter the town, but you will go further through the beautiful valley of the Indus.

Along the way, you will see the palace - the seat of the first rulers of Ladakh, Shey, and the most impressive Buddhist monastery in the entire region, Thiksey. In 2016, it hosted the Dalai Lama himself. In the afternoon, you bid farewell to the main trail and turn into the valley.

Day 3: Leh - Lamayuru

This will be the first day on your Royal Enfield on a long ride. You will drive to the famous Aryan Valley Dah and Hannu. The people in this valley look quite different than the other inhabitants of Ladakh. They are of more Indo-European than Tibetan type. The area is also warmer and greener Abbey. Ahead of us a beautiful route, full of views, mostly onto new asphalt along with Indus river. Spend the night at a guesthouse at Dah Hannu.

Day 4: Dha to Lamayaru via Hamboting La Pass

Today you will have the opportunity to cross the rarely visited Ladakh area: Baltis Valley. Riide on the Hamboting pass and Batalik & Kargil Area. After taking Leh - Srinagar highway from Kargil and ride on Namk La and Fotula pass, like you moved to another world. Rest for the night at a Lamayaru guesthouse.

Day 5: Lamayaru - Alchi - Leh

Today, you will return to the Buddhist world in its classic edition. You’ll find that the route is already partially familiar to you, but it looks different from the other side! Accommodation will be in Leh Hotel.

Day 6: Leh - Tso Morri

A picturesque highway leads you along with Indus river towards China border. You will pass and visit some hot springs at Chumathang Plato and after crossing small pass you are admire the grand view of Thatsangkaru Lake (4,500 meters / 14,763.78 feet). Off-road trail take you to Karzok village along with Tso Moriri lake. Overnight stay at lake view camps.

Day 7: Tso Morriri - Tso Kar Lake

The Tso Moriri lake is a strict nature reserve. The emerald waters usually surrounded by snow-capped mountain peaks look stunning. En route, you will be able to relax at a hot geyser and see the last Himalayan nomads. The road is 60% gravel. Accommodation will be in specially prepared Swiss Camps on Tso Kar lake side.

Day 8: Tso Kar - Pangong Tso

Today, you cope with the second highest pass in the world, Taglanga La (5,359 meters / 17,582.02 feet). After that, you go down on the picturesque valley along the river. Afterwards, you will ride to third highest, approved for traffic pass in the world, Chang La (5,360 meters / 17585.3 feet), is awaiting you. From the pass, you go down the winding mountain road above one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, Pangong Tso. It is a lake bordering China and 60% of its surface belongs to China. Today you will partly drive on gravels. Accommodation is in a camp, in specially prepared tents.

Day 9: Pangong Tso - Nubra Valley (Hunder) through Shyok River

Today is not an easy route, but an unforgettable one. Enjoy a ride entirely along the Shyok River. The program does not involve any passes, but it will sometimes be "curvy" and on gravel.

Certainly, you are going to take a rest a break from altitudes, but it will be much warmer - it may even be boiling hot. If due to weather conditions (e.g. landslides) the road should be closed, you will go through the Wari La Pass. Accommodation is in a hotel.

Day 10: Nubra Valley - Leh

Today, you will already be enough accustomed to high altitudes. This is the perfect moment to take on the highest pass approved for traffic in the world, Khardung La (5,602 meters / 18,379.27 feet). Before you get to it, you will visit the world’s highest altitude desert. Volunteers can try their hand at sand dunes. The route includes partly gravel road. Accommodation is in a hotel.
