During this motorcycle tour, you will stay at four-star hotels and pensions, all with first-class English speaking employees who will take special and personal care of their guests. Accommodations are carefully selected with safe parking included so that you do not have to worry about your bike. Most of the hotels and pensions are located in beautiful areas, surrounded by mountains or lakes.

Activities start around 9 a.m. and 10 a.m., after having breakfast. You will typically arrive at the hotel around 4 p.m. or 5 p.m., depending on the length of the tour and the tourist attractions.

Day 1: Bucharest

Ride in Romania will pick you up from the airport and take you to the hotel. The hotel is situated in the center of Bucharest, a city with a vibrating culture and a busy nightlife. Known as Little Paris with its reputation for the high life, Bucharest is Romania's largest city and capital. It offers a historical charm, a large number of museums, art galleries, exquisite Orthodox churches, and unique architectural sites.

You will start your city tour with a visit to the Parliament Palace, formerly called the People's Palace. Built within Nicolae Ceausescu's vision, the Parliament Palace spreads on 3.76 million square feet and is considered the world's second largest building after the U.S. Pentagon. In the evening, there will be a welcome dinner organized by Ride in Romania, where you will be able to discuss the details of the tour.

Day 2: From Bucharest to Sighisoara

Bucharest, Cheia Pass, Sighisoara

Today, you will leave a beautiful city behind and ride the motorcycles through a spectacular mountain road. All day long, you will ride through small and old villages where the time seems not to pass. You will enjoy the countryside roads with no traffic and enjoy the silence of these beautiful places.

Day 3: From Sighisoara to Valiug

Sighisoara, Trans-Semenic Road, Valiug

Today's destination is a perfect playground for demanding motorcyclists. After lunch, your motorcycle tour will guide you through national parks. Breathtaking views on mountains roads will take you to the Trans-Semenic Road, the newest mountain road in Romania. Here, you will feel like you are on a rollercoaster.

Day 4: From Valiug to Horezu (300 kilometers / 186 miles)

Valiug, Bigar Waterfall, Cheile Nerei National Park, Horezu

You will continue your motorcycle tour through Cheile Nerei National Park, on spectacular mountain roads. The first stop will be at Bigar Waterfall, a unique waterfall in the world. This will be a day with corners, 300 kilometers / 186 miles of twisty roads with not much traffic and a nice landscape.

You will pass mountains surrounding magical lakes and through Baile Herculane, a city built in the year 153 D.C. by the Romans. The day will end in the countryside, in a very old mansion.

Day 5: From Horezu to Sibiu

Horezu, Transalpina Road, Urdele Pass, Sibiu

Your motorcycle tour will continue to Transalpina Road, the highest mountain road from the entire Carpathian mountain chain. You will ride on fantastic roads and beautiful serpentines at 2145 meters / 1333 miles. Make sure you take pictures of the beautiful landscape of this road.

Day 6: From Sibiu to Bucharest

Sibiu, Transfagarasan Road, Bucharest

Today, you will ride through Transfagarasan Road, 91 kilometers / 56 miles just perfect for motor riding. Built at a 2042-meter altitude over Fagaras Mountains, the highest mountains in Romania, Transfagarasan Road offers the most spectacular landscape in Europe. At the end of the road, you will be able to admire Vidraru Lake, which is located in the middle of the mountains.

Day 7: Bucharest

After a unique vacation, you will be transferred back to the airport.

Daily breakfast and dinner are included in this package. Dinners include welcome and farewell special meals in traditional local restaurants with an à la carte menu. Romanian cuisine is famous for the variety of the food. Each meal, starting with breakfast, is very rich and includes a wide selection of food. The owners offer traditional food prepared from their natural supplies gathered especially in autumn season.

Each region in the tour offers a different kind of food. You can taste the traditional sarmale with polenta or the delicious traditional pancakes with natural fruit jams. You can also drink the famous, strong tuica, palinca, or the country-made wine.

How to get there

Driving directions from Vienna

  • Follow A4 (E60) / M1 (E60 - E71) until Budapest.
  • You will continue on M5 Highway for about 27 kilometers.
  • After that, you will exit on the Exit 44 - E60 (Szolnok, Albertirsa, Dabas, Ujhartyan) Highway and continue towards Bors - Oradea - Cluj Napoca - Bucharest.
  • Keep in mind the A means Austria highway, M means Hungary highway, and E means European road.

Driving directions from Prague

  • You need to follow D1 / E55 - E65 Highway towards Brno and continue on D2 / E65 to Bratislava.
  • You then ride on the road to Budapest on D2 / E65 - M1 / E75.
  • You will continue on M5 Highway for about 27 kilometers.
  • Then, you will exit on Exit 44 - E60 (Szolnok, Albertirsa, Dabas, Ujhartyan) towards Bors - Oradea - Cluj Napoca - Bucharest.
  • Keep in mind the D means Czech Republic highway, H means Hungary highway, and E means European road.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport (OTP). Transfer from and to the airport is included. Ride in Romania will pick you up from the airport.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 30% of the total price.
  • The deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled up to 30 days before the arrival date.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival.
