Ride Wild Cambodia Motorbike Tour Itinerary

Overview

  • Bike: rental bike
  • Meals: all meals included

Day 1: Phnom Penh to Sen Monorom

After a short introduction to the mighty FTR, you will start climbing to the city of Sen Monorom on the beautiful windy road crossing the Keo Seima protected forest. Visit the Bou Sra Waterfall which is arguably the most impressive waterfall in Cambodia with its 2-stage 20-meter wide and 18-25-meter height waterfalls. Here, you will spend as much time as you want by swimming and relaxing before going back to Sen Monorom. On your first day of the tour, you will be riding for about three to four hours.

Day 2: Sen Monorom

You will visit the Elephant Valley Project where the previously working elephants are now roaming free under the care of the project staff. You will take a pleasant tour of the surrounding hills and a sunset dinner with a 360-degree view of the area. You will ride for about three hours.

Day 3: Sen Monorom to Banlung

This route will take you through some of the most spectacular forest views in Cambodia along the route 76 to the sparsely populated province of Ratanakiri, the land of the ethnic groups of Cambodia. Today, you will visit Lake Yeak Laom, a small lake situated in a volcanic crater surrounded by rain forest. You will be riding for about four hours.

Day 4: Banlung

You are leaving the FTR behind in favor of a visit to the area by foot. Enjoy a short hike in the forest, a visit to ethnic villages, and forest camping accompanied by a local ranger.

Day 5: Banlung to Stung Treng

You will leave the forest back to Banlung, and after a well-deserved shower, you will head to the mighty Mekong! You will cross the river and head to the “secret sunset beach” where you can spot the extremely rare Mekong dolphin and enjoy the sunset at the same time! You will of course also visit the mighty Mekong falls! You will ride for approximately four hours.

Day 6: Stung Treng to Kratié

You will travel to the laid back and the less visited town of Kratié, situated on the Mekong banks. The Mekong in this area is also home to the largest remaining population of Mekong dolphin. Here, you will take a kayak tour to the flooded forest where trees have adapted its special root formations to cope with the Mekong strong currents. You will ride for about three hours.

Day 7: Kratié to Phnom Penh

Your last day will take you back to Phnom Penh, strictly keeping parallel routes to the Mekong river. You will make a stop at Kampong Cham or the “port of the Cham”. This evening, you will party until the light of dawn!
