Program

Day 1: Arriving in Moscow

Today, you arrive in Moscow. Russian Moto Travel Company will take care of the transfer to the hotel in the city center. After some rest, there will be a kick-off meeting regarding the tour. Russian Moto Travel Company will brief you on the details and an itinerary as well as give some advice about rules and customs in Russia.

After the kick-off meeting, you will go for a walk and explore Moscow as well as have a dinner in a nice restaurant near the Kremlin with the Russian cuisine.

Day 2: Moscow

This day, you have an excursion around the city. Starting with Kremlin and Red Square, you will see GUM (the main shopping mall) and Saint Basil's Cathedral. Later on, you will explore the subway (metro) and have a walk on Arbat Street which is the most famous pedestrian street in Moscow where you can buy authentic Russian souvenirs.

Day 3: Moscow to Valday (400 kilometers / 249 miles)

In the morning, you will go to the Red Square to take photos with the bikes. After that, you leave Moscow and head to Valday. You have a long way to go, that's why you will use toll roads and the highway. All these roads were built only a few years ago. Using toll roads will help you in saving time, plus you'll get a chance to get used to your bikes.

You will have lunch in Tver, the small provincial city, 200 kilometers from Moscow. You also visit Valdaisky Iversky Svyatoozersky Bogoroditsky Monastery, one of the most praised places for Orthodox Russians.

You will spend the night in the cozy hotel on the territory of the Valdaysky National Park. Here, you will see the authentic household with meat and dairy products as well as have a chance to take Russian baths. There are also very interesting forest roads which you can explore on bikes or a horseback. If anyone in the group would want to have some off-road experience, Valday is the ideal spot for that.

Day 4: Valday to Saint Petersburg (400 kilometers / 249 miles)

Today, you ride through several small towns and arrive in Saint Petersburg in the evening.

One of the cities along your way is Novgorod, one of the oldest and most famous cities in Russia. It celebrated the 1155th anniversary in 2014. It's a birthplace of the Russian state and democracy. The old Kremlin and monastery preserved in the heart of the city.

You also stop in Gatchina and take a look at the castle and a park, and have a coffee and catch your breath back. After that, you go straight to Saint Petersburg, check into the hotel, and have a dinner in the Museum of Russian Vodka.

Day 5: Saint Petersburg

Today, you have a sightseeing tour around the city. First, you go to Peterhof where you see dozens of fountains in the Lower Garden, it is funny and pompous, and simple and complex. They have delighted guests for the past two and a half centuries. The "Russian Versailles" is certainly not inferior to its French prototype in terms of luxury, decoration, engineering genius, the radiance of gold, and the riches of the Palace's halls.

From Peterhof, you come back to the city center, have a lunch in a nice restaurant, and have a walk around the architectural ensemble of the Palace Square, Nevsky Prospect and rivers, and canals of Saint Petersburg. By the evening, you will be tired so another local restaurant with Russian wine would be just the perfect place to relax and share emotions about the tour.

Day 6: Saint Petersburg

Today, you go to Hermitage, one of the best museums in the world. It was calculated that to see all exhibits of the Hermitage, you need at least a week. You don't have so much time but even half a day walk will impress you. In the second half of the day, you see Saint Isaac's Cathedral and the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood. In the evening, it's free time.

Day 7: Saint Petersburg to Pechory (350 kilometers / 218 miles)

Your plan for today is to visit Pskov and stay for one night at Pechory. Along with Novgorod, Pskov is one of the oldest Russian cities. The very old church remained untouched in the very center of Kremlin. You have a short sightseeing tour around the city and then head to Pechory. It's a small town where you will stay in private house with old Russian interior and real home-made food. After big cities, it will be a pure relax and joy. You can visit banya, make Russian barbecue, or ride along the old sights which are located around the city.

Day 8: Pechory to Derbovezh (430 kilometers / 268 miles)

Derbovezh is a lake where you can experience fishing, boat tours on the lake, and real Russian baths (sauna) if you are ready for it. There are some other activities available such as volleyball, sunbathing on the beach, swimming in the crystal clear water, etc. The dinner will be made by a local chef and in the evening, you will hear some more stories about Russia as well as its culture and history.

Day 9: Derbovezh to Moscow (375 kilometers / 171 miles)

This is your last riding day. In the morning, you take a 100-kilometer segment of the highway and after that, you go to secondary roads with several surprises that Russian Moto Travel Company has prepared for you. In Moscow, you arrive at around 16:00-17:00 and after some rest, you will have a walk around the city center, places you haven't seen before, or maybe you visit Red Square again to make few more photos. In the evening, it will be less crowded and very peaceful. You will finish the day in the best beer restaurant in Moscow.

Day 10: Departure from Moscow

This is your last day in Russia and there are still many places you can visit. There is the State Tretyakov Gallery and the Bolshoi Theater or central park, and definitely, you must walk around the Arbat Street, the main walking street with all the souvenir shops.
