Day 1: Nam Cat Tien National Park (150 kilometers)

Getting out of busy Saigon, you will take the off roads to Nam Cat Tien National Park, around 150 kilometers away. A ferry will bring you to the other side of Dong Nai River so you can drive onto and around Tri An Lake, the second largest in Vietnam and built for producing hydropower. Then, you will continue riding on smaller roads through the fertile natural reserve before getting on another ferry that will take you to the headquarters of Nam Cat Tien Park. On the way, you will be offered a very relaxed trip with many photo opportunities and lunch will be served whenever you need to eat.

Upon arrival in the late afternoon, a pickup truck will drive you to the main way through the jungle. It will take you to a path on which adventurers trek through vast areas of trees to reach Crocodile Lake. It’s a moderate trek and will be certainly worth the effort when you get to the lake. Dawn and dusk will be quiet at the lake for the crocodiles to emerge from the tranquil waters and rest on the grassy banks.

If luck is on your side, you can get close to the crocodile and may also catch the sight of deer looking for food on the outskirts of the forest. Afterward, a quiet overnight stay in the middle of the forest will be a memorable experience. In summary, the highlights of this tour will be driving along Tri An Lake and through the natural reserve, hiking and exploring the natural reserve at Crocodiles Lake. Your overnight stay in the forest rangers checkpoint hut in the middle of the park.

Day 2: Ta Dung lake (130 kilometers)

You will greet the new day with many birds of different colors perched in the trees and wandering in grassy scrub on islets in the lake in search of food. After breakfast, you will trek back to the main path to be picked up and taken out of the park for the road ahead. Today will be another exciting day with dust on your face, the wind in your hair, camera at hand, and poised for the next shot.

You will drive to Da Teh, an isolated town surrounded by tea and coffee plantations. Afterward, you will continue over mountains passes. Then, you will let yourself get swallowed up in the picturesque scenic highland, a sea of green color everywhere you look to the endless horizon. As usual, you will stop anywhere and you can shoot at your will.

In the late afternoon, you will check in at a guesthouse in the area nearby Ta Dung Lake before a discovery trip to the lake in the next morning. Dinner with barbecued fish from the lake, buffalo, or free-range chicken and local rice wine will make the night last longer. After that, we can call it a day. In summary, the highlights of this day will be driving through the many tea and coffee plantations and opportunities to take in the picturesque scenery of the highlands.

Day 3: Dalat (170 kilometers)

You will start the day by riding to another side of Ta Dung Lake. You will also ride across hills passing through some ethnic minority villages to Lam Ha then to Elephant Waterfall. Afterward, you will continue through the center of the flower farms area, mainly roses, hydrangeas, and straw flowers, before checking in at your hotel in Dalat. In the evening, you will have a walk to a barbecue restaurant and enjoy a jar of warm rice wine or a glass of in Dalat at an additional cost. In summary, the highlights of today’s tour will be Ta Dung lake and Elephant Waterfall.

Day 4: Nha Trang (140 kilometers)

After breakfast, you will take a 140-kilometer winding drive down to the coast to the oceanfront town of Nha Trang. During the trip, you can stop at vegetable and flower farms, hill tribe villages, and coffee plantations. Besides winding by forested mountains for much of the way, the road will hit 1500 meters as you traverse the pass and take in some spectacular views down to the coast. Moreover, on today's tour, you will have a sauna and a 1-hour massage in Nha Trang.

Day 5: Nha Trang

To take some steam out of all the riding you’ve done, you will have an easy day with open options. You can decide your own relaxing time here but the costs for your activities are not included. You can certainly ask for help with pointing out the key things of interest such as booking a boat tour to some islands for swimming or snorkeling. In the late afternoon, you can drive to a newly constructed mud-bathing center with good facilities to set your mind free. Seafood dinner in a local restaurant is a must.

Day 6: Phan Rang–Tháp Chàm (130 kilometers)

Driving around Cam Ranh Bay is probably something common for travelers in Nha Trang but instead, you’ll be driving around Nui Chua National Park, a unique dry-ecosystem along with the coastal road. Today will be beyond what you can imagine. The elements that make your bike ride today so special will include rocky mountain, wild beach, narrow bays full of local fishing boats, and locals farming crops like a purple onion. In the late afternoon, you’ll arrive at Phan Rang–Tháp Chàm. The highlights of today’s tour will be riding along coastal passes, seeing a very different landscape to the highlands, passing by many fishing villages, explore local’s daily activities, photo stops at many bays full of brightly painted wooden fishing boats.

Day 7: Ke Ga (180 kilometers)

After breakfast, you will visit the Po Klong Garai, a Cham temple tower located in the medieval Cham principality of Panduranga. Afterward, you will hit the road again. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Ca Na beach. The terrain of the coastline here is flat and sometimes the beach is just 20 meters from the road. You will also stop in Mui Ne and the White Sand Dunes. Often compared to those of the Sahara, these are massive and range in tone from gold to pure white. The lakes surrounding the dunes are thick with lotus blooms and provide a perfect place for a stroll. In the afternoon, you will arrive and check in at a hotel in Ke Ga. You will be near a quiet fishing village and a grand lighthouse built in 1897, the oldest in Vietnam. Ke Ga has splendid beaches, but unlike nearby Mui Ne or Phan Thiet, Ke Ga is not too famous to have some quiet moments and contact with locals.

Day 8: Saigon (120 kilometers)

Waking up in the early morning, you will have the chance to explore a simple life of locals with their fishing net, small wooden boats, and the one-man traditional fishing vessel, the coracle. After leaving Ke Ga, you will drive along some salt farms and many dragon fruit plantations before getting closer to the sea in Ho Tram and Vung Tau. The journey will end after you travel back to Saigon. The highlights of today’s tour will be watching locals fishing and driving through many dragon fruit plantations.

This tour will include a journey from Saigon to Cat Tien National Park, Quang Khe, Dalat, Nha Trang, Phan Rang-Thap Cham, and Ke Ga. Instead of taking dreary highways 1 and 20 as other motorbike tours do, you will hit the off-roads around and through farmlands, plantations, reservoir lakes, jungles, and highland passes, which will give you a vista into the natural beauty of Vietnam. The tour will stop at Nam Cat Tien National Park, Ta Dung lake, Dalat, and Nha Trang before driving along the spectacular coastline back to Saigon.

On this tour, you will be served all breakfasts, lunches, and 2 dinners in Crocodile Lake and Quang Khe. In Quang Khe, you will have dinner with barbecued fish from the lake or buffalo or free-range chicken and local rice wine. "I have never ever been on a motorcycle before and I was petrified! We ended up booking this after XO tours were full. There were 7 women in their 30's and 40's from the USA. We each had our own driver. They took us for drinks at a fancy hotel rooftop bar and then to a house used by the Viet Cong in the war. They also took us for street food, to Chinatown, and to a barbecue place. It was a great way to see the city and the drivers were nice, confident, and safe. Our guide was a recent graduate of a university. We went over bridges, along with the river, and through narrow alleyways, places where a tourist would never go. It was definitely scary at times with the traffic but I wouldn't trade the experience for anything."

"We had 2 great guides who were Tan and Bui. They hosted an awesome night. It felt just like cruising around and getting food with friends. It was very interesting weaving through the different districts in Saigon and seeing the disparity between the areas. The riding was on par with the delicious food. They will cater to all leavers of squeamishness, so don't worry about it. Go with this smaller company, they deserve the business!"

"We booked the Mekong Delta tour of one day from 7.30 a.m. onwards. After fixing a flat tire, the guide came up at 8.30 a.m. for checking in the tour. I've chosen to drive by myself while my wife was sitting on the back of the guide. After a short explanation and taking on the safety shields, we proceed towards the Mekong. It was a very exciting tour with takeover Saigon river arms by ferry and boat tour. However, sometimes it was tough sitting long distances on the bike. The guide was very helpful and friendly. We could gain a lot of local information which was not easy to explore by ourselves. All in all, it is a very recommendable adventure."
