During this motorcycle, you will drive your motorbike along Muong Hoa Valley and Muong Hoa River, through terraced fields passing some hamlets of the H’Mong people as Y Linh Ho, Lao Chai. You will get to watch locals at work and experience one of the most famous destinations for breathtaking scenery.

You will spend one night at the Cinnamon Eco Lodge in Xuan Giang village.


The ridding is on mountain road running aside of the scenery Muong Hoa Valley, with picturesque views of peaky mountains, endless rice terraces, waterfalls and Hill tribes’ villages. This is an awesome trip! Driving your motorbike along the Muong Hoa River, you will get great view of the river and the riverbanks on either side. There were many small villages along the river.

Day 1: Sapa - Lao Chai - Ta Van - Thanh Phu - Xuan Giao - Bao Nhai - Pho Rang - Xuan Quang. (121 kilometers / 75 miles)

In the morning, your guide will pick up you at 8:00 a.m. at the reception of the hotel for a short briefing. You will check all the condition of the motorbike and your guide will show you how to control the motorbike.

You will start ridding form Sa Pa town then following Muong Hoa Valley to Ban Ho Village, where you see Tay minorities with their still house. Keep riding up to Suoi Thau Village. You will have change to visit a typical village of Dao people where its does not have any effect from tourism development.

Accompanied by your guide, you will explore around the village and learn how the local villagers make writing paper, jewelry, and embroidery.

In the afternoon after visiting the Suoi Thau Village, you will continue your journey driving your motorbike along the Muong Hoa River to Bao Nhai Village. On the way, you will see some lake made by human for hydro power plan and meet a lot of friendly people.

They will wave the hand and say Hello to you but they are very shy. When you go closer to them after few minutes to introduce yourself, they will make a lot of story about you and the way you travel.

Arrive in Cinnamon Eco Lodge in late afternoon. You will get a warmly welcome by the family here. You will experience the day to day lifestyle of northern Vietnam and depending on the time of year, you may be lucky enough to experience the cinnamon harvest (both the bark and oil), the planting or harvesting of the rice or the many other seasonal activities that make up life in rural Vietnam.

After a quick shower, you will have a delicious dinner with local food served by the host. You can try to cook with them if you want to learn how to cook Vietnamese food. Overnight at the homestay at Cinnamon Eco Lodge and enjoy the hospitality of a local family, embracing the true rural community lifestyle

Day 2: Xuan Quang - Pho Rang - Bac Ngam - Phong Hai - Ban Phiet - Lao Cai city - Sapa - (130 kilometers / 81 miles)

After breakfast served by the host, your guide will take you for a unique half day’s trekking in rural Vietnam, away from the bustle of other tourist areas. You will visit a variety of villages and learn about farming life in rural northern Vietnam.

This includes seeing cinnamon, tea, and other crops growing and being harvested as well as terraced rice fields, houses on stilts and the lifestyles of different ethnic tribal groups who live in the area.

After lunch, you will take a short break before driving your motorbike to Lao Cai station or Sapa, depending on your travel plan. Drive your motorbike via No. 70 National road. On the way back, you will visit Vietnamese and Chinese International Border gate in LaoCai. Arrive Sapa in late afternoon. This is the end of the trip.

Muong Hoa Valley is one of the most famous destinations for breathtaking scenery and is the largest farmland for rice growing in Sa Pa. It is far from town about 14 kilometers. This valley lies between two high ranges of mountains running in the parallel south-east of Sa Pa town.

On the way, you can learn more about how is the rice cultivating. From the highest elevation of the mountain range covered by endless forest, rain water follows dozens of streams downhill to the floor forming the Muong Hoa, which follows across the small town and rice fields of the ethnic minority people of H’Mong, Dao and many others. They have been working on the sloping land and living their own ways for a hundred years.

On the main road leading to Muong Hoa Valley, tourist will have opportunities take photos and sight Sa Pa’s views. This valley has terraced fields which is the most beautiful terraced fields of Sapa. Cross the suspension bridge, you will be visiting the village of weaving and dyeing cloth of the Hmong and exploring Muong Hoa Valley.

Explore the magnificent Muong Hoa Valley to enjoy its breathtaking landscapes, you will also paying visit to small and isolated hamlets and villages meet the Black H’mong, Zay and Red Zao at home and at work.
