Program

Program overview

As the excursion is for two weeks, you will have ample time to soak in the charms of Leh and Ladakh. You would ride through the highest roads in the world, cross mountain passes like Baralacha La (4890 meters) and Tanglang La (5328 meters), cross many Himalayan rivers, and get to know the traditions and culture of the local people. Visit ancient Buddhist monasteries and the Tibetan nomads with their caravan of Yaks and Pashmina goats on the legendary Royal Enfield bikes. Visit Drass and War museum at Kargil. This adventure motorcycle tour will take you to places you perhaps never know existed, experience nature and life like you have never done before. While returning, take a Shikara ride on the Dal Lake at Srinagar.

Day 1: Delhi to Manali, 540 kilometers / 335.5 miles

  • Early start from Delhi at 06:00

Day 2: Manali

  • Acclimatization day as you will be having long days ahead

  • Rest and prepare for the first leg of the journey

Day 3: Manali to Sarchu, 230 kilometers / 143 miles

  • Early morning breakfast at 06:00
  • Start your journey on Manali - Leh Highway
  • Reach Sarchu by evening

Day 4: Sarchu to Tso Moriri, 230 kilometers / 143 miles

  • Start of the lakes circuit
  • Ride through beautiful off roads
  • Cross Pang, Nakee La, Lachung La, and Morey Plains
  • Reach Tso Moriri by evening via Tso Kar
  • Explore the beauty of the lake

Day 5: Tso Moriri to Leh, 220 kilometers / 137 miles

Day 6: Leh

Day 8: Nubra Valley to Pangong Tso, 275 kilometers / 171 miles

  • After an early morning breakfast, you leave for Pangong Tso
  • You will take the off-road to Pangong Tso via Agam - Shyok
  • Reach by evening to spend the night in tents
  • Highlights: great off roads riding along the Shyok River

Day 9: Pangong Tso to Leh, 230 kilometers / 143 miles

  • After a lazy breakfast, you head back to Leh
  • Reach Leh by late noon and spend time in Leh market
  • Night stay at the guesthouse / hotel
  • Highlights: crossing the Chang LA and roaming around Leh

Day 10: Leh to Sarchu, 260 kilometers / 161.5 miles

  • After early breakfast, you start your journey back
  • Cross the mighty Tanglang La
  • Reach Sarchu by evening

  • Highlights: explore the other side of the mountain and cross the Tanglang La

Day 11: Sarchu to Manali, 230 kilometers / 143 miles

  • Start the final leg of Leh Manali Highway
  • Reach Manali by evening

Day 12: Manali to Chandigarh, 310 kilometers / 192.5 miles
