Accommodation

Included in your package are all accommodations from day 1 in Jammu up to day 12 in Manali. Accommodations are in twin / triple sharing basis in comfortable hotels / guest houses or camps in scenic and offbeat destinations.

Program

Day 0: Welcome To Delhi - City Of Dreams

You will get together in the capital city and meet your fellow travelers. Trust Stonehead Bikes when they tell you, you will shake hands with strangers today but on the last day of the journey, you will be hugging these same people! You will have a getting to know each other and safety briefing session in evening over some masala chai and samosas.

Day 1: New Delhi - Jammu (590 kilometers / 367 miles)

You will start your day early at 6:00 a.m., so that you can reach Jammu by evening. The day is going to be long but throughout the trip today, you will have open clear highways. Day will end at Jammu.

Day 2: Jammu - Srinagar (266 kilometers / 165 miles)

Start your journey towards Srinagar by 9:00 a.m. after having your breakfast. You will be having mixed roads today. From extremely beautiful highways to some real bad patches of broken roads. You will go through a few long and beautiful tunnels. The day will introduce you to the mountains.

Day 3: Srinagar - Kargil (202 kilometers / 126 miles)

Today you will also start by 9:00 a.m. to reach Kargil by late noon. The day’s trip will take you to some of the most beautiful roads and landscapes of Kashmir region. Today you will cross the scenic hamlet town of Sonamarg and the mighty Zoji La. You will also visit Kargil War Memorial at Drass.

Day 4: Kargil - Leh (220 kilometers / 137 miles)

Stonehead Bikes plans to start a little early today, by 8:00 a.m., so that you will have ample time to stop at some must visit places en route. You will travel through two more high passes today, Namika La and Fotu La. You will also visit the moon lands of Lamayuru. While reaching Leh, you will also visit the Magnetic Hill and Patthar Sahab Gurudwara.

Day 5: Leh

Today is the acclimatization day, to help you adjust with the high altitudes. You will take your required permits today and roam around Leh. You will visit Shanti Stupa, Shey Palace, Sangam, and Hall Of Fame and explore the local market.

Day 6: Leh - Nubra Valley (160 kilometers / 99 miles)

Gear up and speed off on the smooth tarmac to meet the Pangong Lake, traversing the Chang La (17586 feet) - the third highest motorable pass in the world, left behind by Khardung La and Tanglang La.

En route, pause for paying visits to the beautiful and peaceful monastaries around Leh - Hemis, Shey, Thiksey. etc. Also, take some breaks in between to pose for snaps with the cascading waterfalls in the backdrop.

On nearing the destination, walk the bikes to reach the tranquil lake, which was made famous after the filming of the iconic Bollywood film - 3 Idiots, at this very location. Arrive at Leh by evening. Overnight comfortable stay at the hotel.

Day 7: Nubra Valley - Turtuk and back (326 kilometers / 203 miles)

You will have a lazy morning today. Start for Turtuk by 10:00 a.m. You will visit the beautiful villages of Turtuk and Tyakshi. You will also go to Thang, which is the last village check post on India Pakistan Border. You will be back at Diskit by evening.

Day 8: Nubra Valley - Pangong Tso (274 kilometers / 170 miles)

After an early breakfast, start your day towards Pangong Tso by 7:00 a.m. You will take the off roads of Agham - Shyok today to reach Pangong by late noon so that you will have ample time to explore the beauty of the beautiful Pangong Lake.

Day 9: Pangong Tso - Leh (225 kilometers / 140 miles)

Get up early, to witness a beautiful morning at Pangong. Post breakfast, head to Leh by 9:30 a.m. You will cross the Chang La today to reach Leh by early evening. You will also go out to the Leh market today to have some good local foods and shop for the trip souvenirs.

Day 10: Leh - Tsomoriri (220 kilometers / 137 miles)

With an early morning departure to Tsomoriri, head to the Tanglang La. You will go through some real beautiful roads of Ladakh today to reach the beautiful lake by evening. You will be having very high chances of witnessing wildlife and birds today.

Day 11: Tsomoriri - Sarchu (230 kilometers / 143 miles)

So today you will start your last day in Ladakh by 9:00 a.m. and head towards Sarchu for the night stay. The day will take you to mixed roads, some good and some bad. You will reach by early evening to relax in the beautiful environs.

Day 12: Sarchu - Manali (230 kilometers / 143 miles)

You will start early again by 8:00 a.m. to avoid tourist rush at Rohtang Pass. You will cross the famous Baralacha La, Gata Loops, and Zing Zing Bar today to reach Rohtang Pass by noon. Descent from Rohtang Pass will take you through the beautiful roads through pristine green forests. You will end the day at Manali today.

Day 13: Manali - Delhi (540 kilometers / 336 miles)

Finally, the Ladakh trip comes to an end as you start your last day towards Delhi. You will start by 9:00 a.m. so that you reach Delhi by late evening.

Bike rental deposit

Stonehead Bikes requires a 10000 INR per bike deposit and its refundable in case of no damages to the vehicle.

Requirements

To participate as a rider, an individual has to be equal or above 21 years at the time of the tour, holding a valid driving license (international driver permit in case of foreigners), in reasonable health and good hold over the bike.

  • Cost of petrol and spare parts of any kind
  • Traffic fines, vehicle servicing, and / or maintenance, etc.
  • Any entry fees, any tips, porter / pony charges or any other expenses incurred by the participants during the sightseeing, rafting, paragliding trips, other than as clearly mentioned within the inclusions and itinerary
  • Any extra costs incurred due to extension / change of the itinerary due to natural calamities, road blocks, vehicle breakdown. etc. factors beyond Stonehead Bikes' control
  • Additional accommodation and or food charges due to unforeseen delays in the journey
