Trinity Eco Tours is taking their wildlife experiences to the land with their new ATV tour in Newfoundland. Exploring the ponds, creeks, and beyond. See moose, ducks, fox, beavers and local birds on their ATV’s. Experience wildlife on the comfortable ATV’s they have selected for their ATV tours. It is exhilarating to experience the trails and tracks all throughout Newfoundland. This cross island tour is flexible for those who want to traverse the island from St. John's to Deer Lake area. It covers approximately 725 kilometers from the edge of the Avalon Peninsula to the west coast of the province.
During the tour, you will stay in various accommodations.
Arrival to St. John’s Airport. Orientation at local hotel supper together at local restaurant with transport provided by Trinity Eco-tours Shuttle. Night’s accommodations at local hotel to be determined. Suggested are Holiday Inn Express, Quality Inn, Capital Hotel or 3 Star plus facilities.
Shuttle to Paradise to start ATV tour on the T’railway (88 kilometers). Introduction to ATV controls, accelerator, brakes and 4X4 system plus safety introduction to tour. Travel from Paradise along the T’railway to Whitbourne. Lunch boil up on the trail, fire with tea coffee. Meet shuttle, trailer bikes and travel to local B&B in the Dildo area. Evening meal at the local pub brewery / distillery. Overnight stay at the Blue Whale Suites or similar venue.
Leave the B&B in shuttle with ATV in tow. Meet up on trail to start to go to Clarenville. Travel to Clarenville to Lakeside at Thorburn or the Terra Nova Golf Resort for the night.
Lunch on the trail with fire, steeped tea and coffee. The option to travel to the Trinity Eco-tours Lodge by shuttle to enjoy the evening at the lodge is an option. Travel 145 kilometers by ATV that day.
Leave Lakeside at Thorburn or Terra Nova Golf Course drive through Terra Nova National Park to Gander. Lunch on the trail with fire tea and coffee. Drive ATV to Comfort Inn or Albatross Hotel for the night. Shuttle to restaurant for supper. Today you travel 117 kilometers.
Leave Gander to travel to Badger through central Newfoundland. Largely unpopulated and extremely beautiful you will enjoy the colours of the trees and large lakes. Accommodation spent at River Front Chalets. Distance traveled approximately 127 kilometers.
Travel to Deer Lake from Springdale turnoff. Travel to Grand Lake and on to the Great Northern Peninsula Highway. Travel to Bonne Bay Pond area for cabin overnight. Supper at the Jackladder restaurant.
Travel to the Sinkhole, Underground Hole and Lomond return for the days end at the Jackladder and night spent at cabins at the Jackladder. Final BBQ with guests at Bonne Bay Pond. Final social event.
Arrange transport to Deer Lake International Airport. Departure.
Trinity Eco Tours uses a Sprinter 2500 11 passenger van to support the trip and the riders with transport.
Bob heads the tours up with Cliff Ryan to provide a fantastic experience for the guests. Bob has been doing tours for a living for the last ten years. Wildlife on and off the land have been the focus of the holidays. Bob has worked with film makers from the UK, Japan, and Canada to capture wildlife shots for television and documentaries.
Alongside Bob Bartlett, Cliff Ryan (tour guide / driver / mechanic) will support the tour. Bob and Cliff are both entertainers and will provide you with nightly entertainment.
This tour takes place in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The Province of Newfoundland is well known for its abundance of wildlife; within the sea, on the land, and in the skies. It’s common to spot all types of birds on tour including puffins, bald eagles, hawks, and a variety of other sea birds. Keep your camera close - you never know what you’ll see in the wild!
Food choices shall be breakfast as standard hot breakfast or cereal, yogurt, and fruit. Lunch on the trail will be a traditional fire with hot coffee tea and sandwiches, wraps or individual choice based on personal choice.
