Program

Day 1: Los Angeles

After sitting still for hours on the plane, you will enjoy your stay at a luxurious Los Angeles airport hotel. After arrival and a chance to freshen up, your team leader will go through the practicalities of the trip, while you enjoy a well-deserved beverage.

Day 2: Los Angeles - Palm Springs (322 kilometers / 200 miles)

After an early rise, get ready for the first meeting with the motorcycles. After the formalities, you will start riding them and leave the city for a relaxed ride south over the San Diego Freeway, which brings you into a real biker cafe. You will be also heading for Lake Elsinore, the largest freshwater lake in California.

Day 3: Palm Springs - Lake Havasu (338 kilometers / 210 miles)

Via Joshua Tree and Twenty Nine Palms, although you counted many more, you will ride into the desert. Crossing the Colorado River at Parker, you will steer north to today’s destination, Arizona, with its famous London Bridge that was, no joke, imported from London.

Day 4: Lake Havasu - Williams (394 kilometers / 245 miles)

Today you will experience a large part of the old Route 66. Via the legendary Oatman Pass (pay attention to the donkeys!) To Seligman, where you can have a shave at the famous 'Angels' barber. You continue to Williams.

Day 5: Williams - Flagstaff (approximately 322 kilometers / 200 miles)

Today, you're going to get on the bike with enthusiasm because the Grand Canyon is nearby. A drive of about two hours! And you take the best photos on the South Rim. It is best to take a helicopter tour and watch the performance in the IMAX theater.

Day 6: Flagstaff - Blanding (515 kilometers / 320 miles)

Riding through the Painted Desert, which gets its name from the red, purple, and brown colored sandstone rocks, via Kayenta, you will head towards Monument Valley, where an off-road drive in a Jeep into Marlboro County is possible. After this, you will ride on to Blanding.

Day 7: Blanding - Panguitch (515 kilometers / 320 miles)

Today is a beautiful ride through Capitol Reef National Park, a vast nature reserve with interesting rock formations, mountains, and bends.

Day 8: Panguitch - St. George (242 kilometers / 150 miles)

After a visit to Bryce Canyon National Park with its bizarrely shaped rock formations, the so-called "hoodoos", you drive through the equally beautiful Zion National Park.

Day 9: St. George - Las Vegas (233 kilometers / 145 miles)

From Hurricane, you will drive on to the American hub of entertainment, Las Vegas. Arriving early, there will be plenty of opportunities to explore this center of entertainment in great detail.

Day 10: Las Vegas (free day)

Today you will have ample time to explore the colossal hotels, go shopping, eat copious amounts of food, or a quick game of poker. Or, you can go crazy and take a ride on a roller coaster atop the Stratosphere, or get married in one of the many chapels.

Day 11: Las Vegas - Bishop (435 kilometers / 270 miles)

Drive north past Death Valley (officially the warmest place on earth). Through Shoshone and later on the great Highway 266 and 168 through the lonely Piper Mountain Wilderness Area. Spend the night in the cozy town of Bishop. There are plenty of bars here!

Day 12: Bishop - Merced (338 kilometers / 210 miles)

Drive north until just before Lee Vining. From there, turn off, high into the mountains of Yosemite Park and drive over the 3,300 meters high Tioga Pass. Overnight in Merced.

Day 13: Merced - San Francisco (306 kilometers / 190 miles)

Today, you reach one of the most famous cities in the world, San Francisco, a metropolis with a lot of sights. Visits to Fisherman's Wharf, Cable Car, Alcatraz, China Town, the Golden Gate Bridge or one of the many museums are definitely not to be missed!

Day 14: San Francisco - free day

Free time in San Francisco. Boredom is impossible!

Day 15: San Francisco - Visalia (451 kilometers / 280 miles)

Continue south on the Pacific Coast Highway, which runs from Canada to Mexico. Then, curve through the hilly prairie, past citrus plantations, and vineyards to Visalia.

Day 16: Visalia - Visalia (266 kilometers / 165 miles)

Cross Sequoia Park with its famous giant trees that are up to 2000 years old. After an infinite number of curves, you reach Visalia again.

Day 17: Visalia - Los Angeles (435 kilometers / 270 miles)

Drive south along citrus plantations to Mariposa. The lesser-known lonely Frazier Forest begins there. In! Ojaj we stop in the biker bar. Then continue towards LA, where you say goodbye to the motorcycles in the rental station.

Day 18: Los Angeles - free day

The day is free, for example for a visit to Universal Studios, Disneyland or Venice Beach. The culture and views of the city can be found in the Getty Museum. Ask your guide for tips, because there is a lot to do in this area

Day 19: Los Angeles

Transfer to the airport with the hotel shuttle for your return flight to Europe. Or maybe you want to extend your trip? USA on Wheels will of course book your extra requests.
