Among the abundance of natural wonders, from the refreshing breeze of the coasts, the dense jungles that bring a tranquil quietness to its guests, and the limestone karsts that will take your breath away, Vietnam has tucked its history and culture, waiting for adventurers to experience them. Treat yourself to a colorful fusion of sights and stories that will leave you wanting more.
Doze off in Hue on night one.
Make Dong Hoi your home on night two.
Relax in Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng National Park on night three.
Unwind in Khe Sanh on night four.
Have a well-earned rest in Prao on night five.
You will follow the small road through the rice fields to visit the Marble Mountains, explore the caves, pagoda on the mountains, and sculptures that were made by hand from passion stone. The road will then take you along the My Khe Beach which has been voted as the most beautiful beach on the planet.
You will then travel through Hai Van Pass which means "Sea of Clouds." You will be literally surrounded by clouds with stunning ocean views. From there, you can admire the beautiful panorama and enjoy a number of the most glorious landscapes in Vietnam. Then, you will head down for lunch on a floating local restaurant.
After lunch, you will continue to Elephants Springs where you can relax and swim. Depending on the weather, you can go along the An Bang Beach and visit the City of Tombs or, if the weather does not permit, you will travel, instead, along Highway 1 and stop at the fishing village in the Tam Giang Lagoon before arriving in Hue.
The first stop is in the Quang Tri Citadel which suffered 81 days and nights of firebombing in 1972. You will follow small roads through the countryside, crossing the ''floating bridge" then onto the Hien Luong Bridge, known as the "Peace Bridge." It is a beam bridge built from steel by the French in 1950 which marks the border between North and South Vietnam before Here and Ben Hai River.
It is an important landmark in the partition of the country into a northern and a southern zone along the 17th Parallel by the Geneva Accords of 1954. You will then arrive at the Vinh Moc Tunnels where an entire village went underground in 1960 to survive the bombing.
The complex of tunnels located deep in the Vietnamese Demilitarized Zone, include wells, kitchens, and rooms for each family. After exploring the Vinh Moc Tunnels, you will pass through the tunnel that will lead you to the local beach there. In the afternoon, you will drive along the HCM highway east to Dong Hoi.
After breakfast, the team will take you to Phong Nha National Park with a day free to explore caves, including Asia's longest limestone cave, and enjoy traditional Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you can wander around and swim in the Moc Springs or walk-in tropical forests.
Driving along HCM highway western, you will have a beautiful day to see many majestic limestone karsts and spectacular old-growth jungles. The road follows the original HCM Trail through some of the most rugged terrains before going to Khe Sanh.
Leaving Khe Sanh, you will go to the houses-on-stilts belonging to the ethnic minorities on the roads to Prao. You head out across the famous Dakrong Bridge on the Ho Chi Minh Trail, near the town of Ta Rut, where will visit the Pa Co minority people and walk through their village.
Then, you will ride through one of the longest and most stunning passes in Vietnam while travelling on a new and quiet road, through amazing scenery of primitive forests, in the imposing Truong Son mountain range. You will be surprised with the jungle, mountains, and the quietness, peace, and amazing views before reaching Prao town.
On the last day riding, you will visit another village of ethnic Co Tu minorities where the culture and traditions remain untouched and you will proceed to one of the most authentic hill tribes that has remained in Vietnam.
To continue your adventure on the HCM trail, you will travel through lush forests with beautiful views of the center of the Vietnam mountains before arriving at a waterfall for swimming. Later, you will go back to Hoi An, riding on the "floating bridge" and enjoying the picturesque sunset.
During this motorcycle holiday, you will be provided with meals as well as coffee.
