This tour will involve 2-star hotels. Vietnam on Trails will make sure everywhere you stay in is clean, comfortable, and the best standard available.


Day 1: Hanoi - Ha Long (170 kilometers / 105.6 miles)

On the first day, you will take a 4-hour ride by taking a busy traffic road to the Red River Delta. You will arrive in Ha Long around lunch time. You will check in at a hotel provided by Vietnam on Trails, have lunch at a local Vietnamese food restaurant, and then ride to the boat station. From here, you will take a 4-hour boat cruise to discover Ha Long Bay. You will return to the hotel in the late afternoon and stay overnight there.

Day 2: Ha Long - Ninh Binh (180 kilometers / 111.8 miles)

You will leave Ha Long Bay, take road number 18 to Hai Phong, and continue to go to the Red River Delta by taking road number 10. You will stop to take photos of the rice fields, meet the local people, and have lunch at a local restaurant. You will arrive in Ninh Binh in the early afternoon and check in at a hotel. After that, you will have a short bamboo boat trip to discover the Tam Coc River. You will have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel. Today's ride will be about 4 hours.

Day 3: Ninh Binh - Vinh (230 kilometers / 143 miles)

You will start your ride on the national road which is a busy traffic road going through many different towns. You will stop in a small town for lunch, take a short break, and continue to Vinh. You will arrive in Vinh in the late afternoon and stay overnight at a hotel. Today's ride will be about 6 hours.

Day 4: Vinh - Dong Hoi (220 kilometers / 136.7 miles)

After breakfast, you will take a ride to Dong Hoi. You will pass nice landscapes such as Deo Ngang and Ly Hoa Passes and arrive in Dong Hoi in the afternoon. You will have a chance to visit the fishing villages around this area and have dinner at a local place. You will stay overnight at a hotel. Today's ride will be about 6 hours.

Day 5: Dong Hoi - Hue (180 kilometers / 111.8 miles)

You will visit several historical remains from the Vietnam War along the road. After a ride for about 1 hour and 30 minutes from Dong Hoi, you will visit the Vietnamese Demilitarized Zone. After that, you will visit Vinh Moc tunnels, have lunch, and continue to Ben Hai River to visit the old bridge which shares Vietnam into 2 regions, North and South Vietnam. You will arrive in Hue in the late afternoon and stay overnight at a hotel. Today's ride will be about 3 hours.

Day 6: Hue - Hoi An (160 kilometers / 99.4 miles)

In the morning, you will visit the Hue Citadel and have lunch in Hue. After that, you will take the national road and ride along Hai Van Pass, Da Nang, and a new road going along the China Beach to arrive in Hoi An. You will arrive in the late afternoon, have dinner at a famous restaurant, and stay overnight at a hotel. Today's ride will be about 3 hours.

Day 7: Free day in Hoi An

This day is to be spent at your leisure and you can enjoy the sea or do some shopping in Hoi An.

Day 8: Hoi An - Quy Nhon (300 kilometers / 186.4 miles)

You will ride on the National Highway 1 and head down to the beautiful coastal line of Vietnam until Quy Nhon. You will have dinner and stay overnight at a beach front hotel. Today's ride will be about 8 hours.

Day 9: Quy Nhon - Nha Trang (200 kilometers / 124.3 miles)

You will ride through a beautiful coast line along the way. Upon arrival in Nha Trang, you will ride to the train station in Nha Trang, say goodbye to the bikes and the tour guide, and have a relaxing time before you return home. Today's ride will be about 6 hours.

Nguyen Ngoc has always been dreaming of becoming a tourist guide. He then studied for 5 years learning French, English, and basic theories of tourism. Now, he works at Vietnam on Trails and his job is to make the company becomes a motorcycle trip destination for bikers all over the world.
Manh Hung
Hung loves to ride motorcycles and has been guiding for over 10 years. He has been in the areas of Indochina including Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia and has ridden about more than 20 thousand kilometers a year. He loves to take people to visit Vietnam and share his riding experience with you.
Nguyen Manh Tuyen
Nguyen Manh Tuyen has a 5-year-old Honda Motocross 250cc and a sport bike which is GSXR 750cc. He loves to ride with people because the adventurous riding is in his blood. He has not much riding experience but if you join his ride, you guys will have fun.


Vietnam is a wonderful place to discover in Asia, as the country scenery changes fast from one region to another and the road condition is quite good and beautiful. This tour will include journeys from Hanoi to Ha Long, Ninh Binh, Vinh, Dong Hoi, Hue, Hoi An, Quy Nhon, and Nha Trang in Vietnam.


Vietnam on Trails normally stops at a clean local restaurant. You will be served 8 breakfasts and 8 dinners in total.
