As you arrive in Edinburgh, Viktorianz Bespoke Adventure Travels shall meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel which would be close to the city center. For the best use of time, you are advised to take a flight that will arrive in the morning of day 1. Hotel check-ins are mostly in afternoons.
After you check in and have a bit of rest, Viktorianz Bespoke Adventure Travels will take you to a Bus Top tour of Edinburgh, the spectacular capital of Scotland which has full of history and culture. They will then leave you on the Royal Mile to explore the city yourself and return to your hotel.
This morning, you will pack your bags, put on your riding gear, and have early breakfast. You will be transferred to the BMW showroom to pick up your pre-allotted motorcycles. The basic motorcycles on the offer are very good standard BMW 650, 800, 1200, and 1600 cc. Your guide rider from Viktorianz Bespoke Adventure Travels will take you on highway road across the Firth of Forth (name of a river), an estuary (firth) that separates Fife to North and Lothian to South.
You'll then swing to the back roads across to some beautiful lochs (lakes) and glens (valleys) on to Queens viewpoint. The ride will then progress to Pitlochry to your 16th-century hotel. As you get to this medieval hotel lodge, there is more waiting to happen.
This day, you'll continue your ride into North Highlands through the inner roads. Your first stop will be at the Commando Monument that shows a handful of men who changed the war history of Second World War. The Commandos were raised and trained here. You'll further ride to the beautiful town of Fort Augustus. This is where the famous Loch Ness starts. You can probably spot the water monster of the Ice Age, the 'Nessie'.
Loch Ness has more water in its folds than all the lakes and rivers of Scotland have if they are put together. You will ride along the western edge of the Loch to reach Inverness and the Glenmorangie Distillery. Your night halt will be in a typical seaside town of Dornoch. This place is closer to Arctic Circle than London.
This day will begin early and you'll ride to the Western Coast. The first halt will be at Ullapool by the loch. The hotels and lodges here are centuries old. You'll get a feel of a seaport, while it is not so. It's the loch all along. You'll then turn south and ride some beautiful roads to the Isle of Skye.
You shall cross your bike on a turntable ferry. That is the only known operational turntable ferry in the world so that is unique for sure. You'll then ride to the historic town of Fort William, a short halt here and then on to Glencoe, the infamous site of a massacre that until this day evokes Scottish sentiments. This is where you will halt for the day.
This morning, you will have a beautiful ride when you ride your way back to Edinburgh. You will go back on motorways and with a small coffee halt, you'll ride back to motorcycle yard to return the bike. Once done, you will be transferred to the Waverley rail station to have a train to Liverpool. This is where you will board out a ferry to the Isle of Man. A lot more thrilling action is waiting for you at the isle. You will then be transferred to your pre-booked accommodation.
Here, you will be right next to the most dangerous motorcycle racing track in the world. For last over 100 years, on an average, more than 4 deaths occur every year, either racing or watching them. No wonder they say that it is the most dangerous and spectacular sporting event on planet Earth. You will be a part of the passionate motorcycling community that comes to witness this sporting wonder. As of today, you will have the tentative program as follows:
The races will be held on all alternated days. This is a free day for you to explore the island at your own pace. A lot of motorcycling actions happen all over the track. No wonder it's called the Mad Sunday. The racing track which is open to all is a mad house. It's a day Viktorianz Bespoke Adventure Travels will leave you to find your own action. You can take a public transport and visit various segments of the world renowned as Tourist Trophy Course.
There will be many spots on the track you can see the race from. This will be the day you can choose to be in a different spot to watch the action. As for Monday, the tentative schedule is as follows:
On this final day, you will get up early and take a ferry out to Liverpool. That will be where you say goodbye to this unique experience. There will be more riding action planned if you want to ride again, a ride from Edinburgh to Lands End and then to London via the Stone Henge. This will begin on the morning of June 8 and finish in Reading, outside London on June 12. Please ask Viktorianz Bespoke Adventure Travels if you are keen on this.
This scenic ride will cover several areas in Scotland including a single malt distillery, historic battle places, Isle of Skye turntable ferry, famous castles (James Bond), and umpteen lochs and glens falling en-route.
